2021 JOTA-JOTI Information

Jamboree on the Air and Jamboree on the Internet will be held this year on October 15, 16, and 17. For additional information check out the new USA JOTA-JOTI website at https://www.scouting.org/international/jota-joti/

You can register as an individual or group on the World JOTA-JOTI site at https://www.jotajoti.info  Check out the directory for all those who have already registered. You can also receive your JID to participate in the JamPuz game during the event.

Be on the lookout for #JOTAJOTI on your favorite social medial platform, and be prepared to share your event as well!

You can further find a great deal of information about Jamboree on the Air at https://k2bsa.net/jota/  Select from the website menu for additional supporting information.

JOTI.tv and ScoutLink

In many situations on the air amateur radio Scout stations will be operating from home rather than at Scout Camps and other group locations. You can supplement that effort with some of the Jamboree on the Internet systems.

Try out JOTI.tv with a computer and video to join JOTIcafe and meet up with other Scouts from around the world via video. For more info https://www.joti.tv/blog/2021/10/04/everything-you-need-to-know-about-jotajoti-2021/

There's also ScoutLink for online chat rooms as well as their MineCraft game. Here's the link https://www.scoutlink.net

Radio Scouting Awards

There are a number of Radio Scouting awards and activities within Scouts BSA. They include the Radio Merit Badge, the Morse Code Interpreter Strip, the Amateur Radio Operator Rating Strip (although discontinued, it is still allowed for uniform wear), and the ARRL Amateur Radio Service to Scouting Award (nominate a deserving Scouting leader).

Radio Scouting Echolink Net

The USA Radio Scouting Echolink Net is held the second Thursday of every month at 9 PM Central on Echolink conference node *JOTA-365* (480809). This is a great way to keep up to date on plans for Jamboree on the Air.

0028 UTC - Not seeing any JOTA activity on 20m or 40m so I'm going to close shop for tonight.  I will be back tomorrow and looking!  Hope to work some JOTA stations!
