Lousy Condx, PSKFest and Prosigns
Mike Besemer <mwbesemer@...>
Wow… lousy conditions in GA tonight. QSB is rapid and deep. Seems like it’s been that way since the supermoon… or maybe since the lousy weather set it. Regardless, it’s been stinky. I’m also seeing quite a few stations NOT using the prosign ‘K’ at the end of their CQ; I’m seeing “CQ CQ de WM4B WM4B”…. and that’s it. With conditions being so bad, that prosign at the end is pretty important. Ok… off my soapbox! Good luck everyone… I’m giving up for a while until the band cleans up. Mike WM4B #348

Agreed Mike — Condx are just really bad. I got on a little bit a go figuring signals would be abound but NOT!! Very spotty to say the least.

Dan, got you even with that FT8 signal on top of you Only seeing a few signals on 40 and 80, nothing on 20 here. Very lousy. JIM K5SP Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S®6 active, an AT&T 4G LTE smartphone

Aw C'mon Mike. You didn't get enough snow to wreck your propagation. ![]() Joe KA1PPV #1482

Hey take advantage of that nice snow white ground plane mother nature blessed you with...You guys in the south wont have it long..We northern folks will have it until April..hi hi...The signals do seem to get out better with a few inches of snow on the ground, or is it just wishful thinking on my part..hi hi .... Wishful thinking I believe. We got at least a foot and half on ground and my waterfall is full of ghosts and echos. Maybe I need to start pouring salt out there. 5 contacts on 40 tonight. Hopefully 20 will be better in morning.
