I downloaded the software today just to play with.  The mode is brand new and the author has been receptive to suggestions in the past.  How about the PODXS officers send him an email and let him know his anchor frequency is already spoken for?

Has anyone noticed how the FT8 people have moved in on the PSK31 portion of 17 meters, are we supposed to move down ?

W5MMW/VE3 Portable Operation (APE) August 19-26

W5MMW Matt Manjos

Just wanted to announce my plans to operate an August PSK Expedition while portable from Renfrew, Ontario, Canada.

I will be on the air as W5MMW/VE3 from grid FN15 starting Saturday, August 19th and running until Saturday, August 26th.

I'm planning on focusing on 20m during the day, 40m at night and occasionally 6m, but I can tune and operate on everything from 80 - 6 so I'm definitely open to a Sked if you need that grid on a particular band.

Likewise, please don't hesitate to reach out for a Sked if you'd like! I am hoping to be on the air each day for at least a few hours (mostly in the afternoon, Eastern time zone). Some operation will be done from pontoon boat! Pictures at https://qrz.com/db/W5MMW/VE3

I am also planning on being on the air running PSK during the Solar Eclipse QSO Party (August 21).

I will QSL as W5MMW/VE3 (pse include suffix) to LoTW and eQSL and will be handling Paper QSL cards from my QTH in Redwood City, CA. No SASE necessary, and I'll be printing special cards for this APE.

Thanks! 73

Thanks for the offer.  Pretty sure I'll still need CN98 in the spring.  Good luck with the knee.  Let us know how you are doing.  Hope you are out kicking the soccer ball around before New Year.  (In the rain of course. December in Port Angeles!)

Sorry she wouldn't go for it.  Worth a try (hi hi).

CN98 looks like a primo opportunity for a GridXpedition.  Lots of 070ers want that grid.  Lovely scenery, trees, trees and more trees, Norther Cascades National Park, and Mt Baker Ski Area.  I want to go...but no go, no more.

As my brother-in-law in Newfoundland would say: "Good On Ya David".  Sorry I missed you.  I have been mostly off the air this week due to Emily - that unusual west to east tropical storm and the accompanying long lasting lightning and thunder storms here in central Florida.

Hope you had fun with the portable op.  Sounds like you have a great setup.  Plans for the next time?

I was on 20 meters during the day on Aug 1 1830Z to 2100Z from FM28 at Bethany Beach at the Delaware Army National Guard training base.  I made 4 contacts in FL, GA and CA.  I was hearing a lot of stations but not getting out to many.  I worked my FT857 off a solar charged LiFePO4 battery to a 20mtr lightweight dipole hoisted up my 16ft Buddipole mast. Used my Galaxy 7 Edge phone bluetoothed to a lightweight keyboard hooked through a Wolphilink adapter cable.  Pictures available if interested.  This has turned into my portable station for working from picnic tables and mountain tops.

Are either of you still on from Delaware in the evenings or did I miss the window?  I've been hunting a 40m DE contact for months now.

Looks like there about 10 or so small towns and lots of forests in CN98.  No wonder we don't hear any hams from there.

Rick: Not this year - another knee replacement coming up in September. But maybe next Spring I could take my IC7000 mobile and take a side trip to Concrete WA on my way to Bellingham to visit my daughter. That will get you CN98!

I did check to see about how she felt about your request.
Not in the cards, but maybe Tom could help out.
Had a look in the log and I also need that on PSK31 but did make 6M USB contact 2014 Field Day

Thanks for reminding me--I forgot about that. I'm still looking for hole 13 because my one QSO with that area (the wet grid BE05) was prior to the GOLF starting date.
