Yeah... about 1000Hz.  I had a QSO to WY about 30 minutes ago... went from 599 to nothing in about 5 seconds.

I'll actually be flying to Denver tomorrow, but I don't know when I could get on the air.

On the website, new member 2591 was not displayed in the new member list.  2591 is KA4TLC, Ricky.

Once I approve a member, it should have been automatically entered into the membership database, and then when after a period of time the webpage is refreshed, showing new members.
There must have been a glitch when the new member was approved and he did not automatically get entered into the database.

I have manually entered the data, so he should be showing up as a member.

2018 PSKFest Contest Scorer

Matthew King - AK4MK

It's been fixed!

If you've not yet uploaded, please go ahead and do so.

Here's what David did with the existing logs:

Changed the entries for old "QRP" to new 'QRP (5W)'
Changed the entries for old "Low" to new 'Medium Power (50W)'
Changed the entries for old "Medium" to new 'High Power (100W)'

If you ran <=25 watts and want to change your category from 50 watts to the new LOW POWER category, you'll definitely need to re-upload your log and select that new category.

If the above categories aren't what you had in mind, you can absolutely re-upload and select a new category for your log.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Thanks also to David for getting us squared away!

Up here in frozen North, some of us put a few turns of electrical tape at every joint because ice/water can migrate into cracks and cause damage.

Mike;

You can do that but I think it might be a mistake unless you join sections with self-tapping screws.  Oxidation can and will happen. Have taken apart many aluminum antennas and have found oxidation on joints.  A bit of cleaning and an application of No-Ox grease made them work like new.  Had a HYGain 4BTX which at the base there is aluminum  joined to steel... took it apart and it was "rust city" !  Hope they changed design.

I was just reading the instructions for my Gap Titan and they actually recommend against the use of any such grease.

I remember building my Butternut beam and having to use that nasty copper Butter-it's-Not grease they provide. Naturally, I got more of it on me than I did on the antenna.

FYI

If anyone took their brand new aluminium antenna out of the box and just stuck it all together, you need to put conductive grease between all sections. This paste goes by a variety of names and is sold at Home Depot. Lowe's, Maenard's , most electrical supply house and even hardware stores.

This grease probably should be replaced after lots of years in use as there may be oxidation in the joints. That why antennas sometimes require a bit of TLC. Water gets in a lot of places where it seems impossible. Be sure to use conductive grease liberally . It's okay it a big glob of it comes out at joint. Just wipe it off.

Have had an antenna with oxidation problems in past. Changing grease corrected problem.
