Hi Barry,

That is a kind thought, but not necessary.  I just operate as we go along on planned and sometimes unplanned routes, hi hi.  We usually travel to see interesting things and if we hit some rare grids along the way, so much the better.

If you want to pay for it would be glad to, hi hi.

We seem to be going out West at least once a year so stay tuned.

Propagation did not favor the mid-West again.  Most of the station worked were in the South.

I was dinking around on the ARRL International Grid Chase website this morning - No I am NOT playing in that effort - and stumbled across a feature that tells you how many times a certain grid has been worked since their contest started Jan 1, 2018.  So I thought I'd plug in my most troubling grid - DL88 in the Big Bend National Park in Texas and see what was happening.

Ten months in and it has NOT been worked; not once, not on any band or any mode, not by anyone!  It is a tough one!

Looks like tomorrows grids, unless real-time changes,  are:  EM37, EM47, EM46, EM45, EM55, EM54, EM63, and EM62.  Heading from Springfield, MO to Birmingham, AL.

If you want to follow our travels send me your personal email and I will send the Google map of the routes.  XYL plans the trips out months in advance and we know the route and where we are staying well in advance.  Don't want to post on group since they can be large.

Hi Barry,

Looks like we will go thru the corner of the grid.  Wont be very long.  We are currently North of Memphis near Jonesboro AR.  Will be heading down I20 to Birmingham.  Band is not very good right now.  Will give a heads up when we are getting near grid.

And I would kick in, too.  I’ve been too busy with other things to play the grid chase game but it’s been a real delight for me to watch from the sidelines as everyone has coordinated on Dick’s excursion.
