As September draws to a close, we have some good news on the 366 Chase.

If you see these folks on the air, be sure to give them a call and make their DAY. Total days needed (#).

KC3FL (1) – 9/19 - Got it! Needs only 10/21 to complete 366.

KC4TIE (4) – 9/12 - Disappointing to see, Mary may not have grabbed this one

R6KEE (3) – 9/18 - Got it. Needs 9/22, 11/25 and 12/15 to complete 366

K5KHK (6) – 9/4, 9/11, - Got them! Needs 9/23. Also 5 other earlier dates including 2/29.

WB8YXF (4) –(9/6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,18,19,20) - Got these! Needs 9/21,23,24 and 2/29 to complete 366.

( Richard, WB8YXF has been on the air a lot in September. Look at that string he grabbed.  Great job, Richard! 
He is so close, be sure to give him a holler even if you worked him the day before.

To see what dates you need, upload your log and check the "Online Endorsement Checker". In the "In Progress" section, click on "Target" for the 360 category and a list of needed dates will show. If you have a problem seeing that, please just let me know.

Let’s make 366 happen for as many as we can. Of our 2,705 members, only 41 have achieved 366. Another 7 need only 1 date, usually 2/29.

I have listed only the folks who are getting very close (within 20 dates). I am sure there are many more who need September dates, also. 
I will do an update for those needing October dates soon.

RESULTS FROM THE JAY HUDAK MEMORIAL 80M SPRINT - 2019

This year there were 31 logs submitted - up from last year’s 21 logs. There were 9 High Power, 15 Medium Power, 5 Low Power and 2 QRP logs.

Top Dawg and 1st in High Power was Bill, N4GBK OF Hertford, NC, with 30 QSOs, 16 States and 510 points. Another stellar showing from Bill who finishes near the top in most of our contests.

High Power – Second Place was grabbed by Bill, K4REB of Havelock, NC. And 3rd Place went to Bob, KF3AA of Huntingtown, MD.

Medium Power - First place was Matt, W5MMW of Chattanooga, TN. You may remember Matt from his 2017 APE to VE3, Ontario.  

Medium Power - Second Place was Curt, K3URT of Harrisburg, PA. Third place - Medium Power was  Pete, NN9K of Colona, IL. Pete recently finished as 1st place in the medium power category of the 40M Firecracker Sprint, the PSK Fest and took first place in last year’s 80M Sprint. Congrats to both of you.

Low Power – First Place, (then non-member) Keith, WC4T of Rineyville, KY had 21 QSO’s. Second Place, non-member Randy, KK4OVW of White House, TN had 19 QSO’s. Third Place Keith, N9VEL, of Temple, GA, also had 19 QSOs.

QRP – 1st Place was Karl, K5KHK of Rochester, NY. Karl also won first place QRP in the 40M Firecracker Sprint. Second Place was Andrew, W3SW of Binghamton, NY. Their performance under present propagation conditions on noisy 80M was outstanding.

The new “All Amateurs Welcome” policy continues to enhance our overall experience. Special recognition is due to the two non-member stations who showed very good scores, winning in the Low Power category. Keith, WC4T has joined as member #2704 and Randy, KK4OVW is working to get his 50 QSO log submitted for membership. We had one other non-member submit a log. Paul, KD2DO of Fairport, NY reported 2 QSOs.

Note that the Top Dawg Certificate and Rollo Dog Tag will be reserved exclusively for members.

And it is not too early to start thinking about your participation in the next PODXS 070 Event. Check your long-wire or make a plan for a temporary stealth antenna if your HOA seems to be dead set against any wires outside.

I might get the XYL to go back thru the grid EL59 South of New Orleans for those that still need it.  We will be heading up North for Thanksgiving and will go thru FM13 if anyone needs it.  The xyl gets a boat ride out it so she is happy to detour.  We will be in DE again for several days and will try again for Fr. Richard.

I think I can wrangle the data into a JSON object to be passed to a web controller.

Development of the view in a web page will be fairly straightforward. Getting the data cleaned and building out the logic for scoring will be a challenge.

I'm looking forward to seeing the requirements document.
