Re: Sales Help

Rick - N7WE

John-
I have sold ham gear on both QRZ.com and eHam.net.  Both are free.  Items sold quick (generally same day) and I never had a problem.  I only used PayPal for payment, and despite all the horror stories, I never had a problem.

Personally, I no longer sell on eBay as it is a VERY wide audience and lots of scammers. The only problem I ever had selling something online was a Nikon lens on eBay and the buyer said it was scratched.  Luckily I had a camera shop appraisal (including serial number) that rated it mint dated just before it shipped.  End of dispute!

And have you considered posting your equipment here?  I don't think there is any prohibition, but you might check with Matt.  Good luck with your sale.

I’ve used QTH.com/classifieds run by KA9FOX.   He asks for a donation, but not required.   Ou have to be careful as there are some idiots who look there and try to scam people.

Next would be Ebay, but they are now charging tax is all states (bah , government wants to tax everything !)

Also, there are Eham.cc   and QRZ.com/ads, but have never used them.

Hope this helps.

Good Morning

Question to the group - where do you find the best site for selling Ham gear on?

Must liquidate all my stuff after downsizing living facilities.

Any Help appreciated

EM39 Tomorrow

Richard Rohrer

We will be in EM39 tomorrow around 1500 GMT or 10:00 AM CDT.   I will be on around 14.072 as usual.  I will send a quick text to those that are looking for the grid, as well as posting in the chat area.  Did seem some psk31 activity this afternoon, but got no takers to my calls when going along the Mississippi.

All entry logs
must be received within 1 week after the event ends.

This event will test your ingenuity and stealthy antenna talents in order to put up an antenna that will send your signals into the ether. It is not impossible.
After all, a 160M dipole is only 272 feet long.

And it will be worth pursuing, in order to grab that Top Band Endorsement Sticker with 20 QSOS on 160M. Only 43 of our 2,706 members have earned this one.

Last year, 12 logs were submitted with 11 QSOs. A record 24 logs were submitted in 2015, with 35 QSOs. Let’s see if we can beat that turnout.

ALERT - 366 Chasers - October

stan W9SMR

I see several 366 Award chasing folks need some QSOs on OCTOBER dates coming up fast.

If you see these folks on the air, be sure to give them a call and make their DAY. Total days needed (#).

* NO8R (1) – 10/17

* KC3FL (1) – 10/21

KE0GHU (2) – 10/21

K5KHK (5) – 10/29

* Delos and John can, and I am sure will, complete 366 in October!!

A special Shout Out goes to Richard, WB8YXF who needed 16 September dates AND HE GOT THEM ALL!! He now needs only Leap Day, 2/29 to complete his 366 Award.

Great Job, Richard!!

Congrats also, to Yuri, R6KEE, Republic of Crimea, who picked up the dates he needed in September leaving him only 11/26 and 12/15 to complete 366. Yuri needs only 21 070 QSOs to complete his LONP. Keep an eye out for him!

Speaking of Leap Day, in addition to WB8YXF, 4 others need only 2/29: F8BFU, M5PLY, SA7BXU and WM4B.

To see what dates you need, upload your full log and check the "Online Endorsement Checker". In the "In Progress" section, click on "Target" for the 360 category and a list of needed dates will show. If you have a problem seeing that, please just let me know.

I have listed only the folks who are getting very close (within 20 dates). I am sure there are many more who need October dates, also. Let’s make 366 happen for as many as you can.

Of our 2,706 members, only 42 have achieved 366.

73,

Stan

Ok, grid chasers.  The xyl has changed our route slightly so we will be in EM39 for about 1 1/2 hours on Tuesday October 8th.  Since we will be staying in Columbus, MO (EM38) I will be on the air in the morning since we should hit EM39 probably about an hour after we leave the hotel.  I will post on the site and on chat.  I will also test those whose numbers I have.

The xyl said she will do go thru EL59 as long as it is not raining.  The last trip thru the roads were flooding quickly due to a heavy rain storm.  I will keep everyone posted on that, but it will at the end of October.

Kathy, my xyl, has gotten into the grid chase and has put a copies of a couple of the internet Maidenhead grid websites on her computer so she can check grids when she plans trips.
