Ok guys, got the TDW endorsement posted on the web. It's yours for
submitting a TDW entry with ten or more contacts. Check it out at <

Re: Sample Log for the TDW 070 Contest

The sample log I posted was just to show how to calculate the multipliers. The TDW rules state:
"Entries - Send log data showing date, time(z), band, exchange received and claimed score. Be sure to also include your call and 070 Club member number in your entry...."
The exchange received is RST, First name and 070 Club number. Sorry for the confusion...73 de Jay N3DQU.

Yepperdoo John, you are correct...here is is what the log needs to show:

" Entries - Send log data showing date, time(z), band, exchange received and claimed score. Be sure to also include your call and 070 Club member number in your entry."

Good luck and vy 73 to all,

Sample Log for the TDW 070 Contest

N3DQU@...

Here is a sample log that N6YIH came up with, to give you an idea of how
to calculate your score for next weekend's whoop-di-doo. Hmmm....looking at
Steve's log here, seems like the old boy is not very confident abt getting
his signal into Europe to work Erika, even with that new Gap antenna his XYL
let him buy! Of course, Ludek has pretty good ears with that setup he has, so
that would account for the two contacts with OK1VSL. But how come he only
worked me on 160 and 6? I gess I must've burnt up my antoona tenner after
working him on the ends and had to drop out of the contest altogether

Hey Steve,

I know Nando wouldn't send one intentionally, but the way these viruses
are, you can be sending them out and never know that you are infected,
that's why I suggested he scan his system :-)

Hey Nando,

Run a virus scan on your system, the e-mail you just sent to the
group had
the badtrans virus attached to it.

Bernie -

I don't think Nando sent the email intentionally. BadTrans sends
the emails itself, using the address book.

But the email WAS infected. So Nando needs to catch that virus
soon.

Re: multi stations in the TDW

Correct as usual, King Friday :o)
Cute reference, Jay. But if you start asking for an ugga-mugga, I'm
going to run away, real fast!!!

Anyone out there running more than one soundcard in the
computer I wonder?
I think I've heard of some folks doing that, but I think it's tricky
getting multiple instantiations of the same program to look for
different sound cards and serial ports.

I would think it would be easier to set up a few laptops, and keep it
all separate. Only problem would be counting the multipliers in the
TDW across all the computers.

N6YIH/7 asked abt multi stations in the TDW. I thought he was
talking
about multi-op stations, but what he was asking about was having more
than one rig on the air. The answer is yes, if you want to run more
than one rig in the TDW, then by all means go for it, but single-op
only...73 de Jay N3DQU.
FWIW, that category is called Single/Multi, for Single Operator,
Multiple Transmitter. Especially with PSK, and the "canned"
contest QSOs, one could envision multiple transmitter/computer
combinations, all run by a single operator.

As for true Multi/Multi PSK competition, stay tuned. Ernie and I are
working on some ideas for the Fall Rumble ....

Ignore my last. Was part of an IM that got misrouted.

I'm going to try to be on the air Fri, Sat, and Sun. for the TDW. Friday
evening is questionable as I might have to work. Will be available on ALL
bands (save WARC's) 160 thru 6. Anyone wants to try 6, let me know. Hope to
print everyone for the TDW.
