Hey, I thought I was the one with the "putt putt" signal! (Or at least
WB5NHL, N4ZUM and me.) :-)

My thanks also to everyone who struggled to hear the QRP guys.

Post TDW Greetings,

Stats for me:

Best part - late night QSOs with N3DQU, KF4FHS and W4GTM.

Worst part - thinking about how many Club QSOs I could be making while explaining the Club to non-members.

QSOs:
80M = 04
40M = 20
20M = 40
15M = 32
10M = 07
Total = 103

Mults = 51

Bonus = 1,100

5/31/02 = 57 QSOs
6/1/02 = 17 QSOs
6/2/02 = 29 QSOs

New LONP QSOs = 26

Would I do it again?  You betcha.

Thanks to all participating, digging my putt putt signal out of the mud and QSYing to other bands.  Vy 73,

Good Job Ludek!!!
Sounds like you were a busy guy this weekend. I kept looking for you on 10
meters, but it was really bad here, I only got 5 qsos on 10 all weekend,
PY2MJ was the only DX station I got on that band.

Last year I was a bonus station because I was part of the planning and helped out a little there.

This year I was a Bonus station because N3QDU needed 4 stations and only had 3 so I jumped in.

Drop a line to JAY and tell he you would like to be a bonus station He likes to spread them out some so all 4 stations will not be in Calif or the Flordia.

You might remember to send him a note next year as if you do it now he just may forget, well send him two one now telling him you would like to be a Bonus station and one next year to reminde he you are still here and want to help.

Well, Duncan, it's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it.  Just so you won't miss the contest next year, send me some tickets and I'll do the travel part for you and tell you how it was and that I missed the contest terribly.

The contest was fun, but travel in NZ sounds like more fun.  But we all feel sorry for you.  ROFL!!!!!!

Absence is excuseable folks! I'm sorry about the TDW. I have
been travelling around our 56000 sq.m. Island, the World's 10th largest, for the
last four days, and without a radio or computer.
It was a 3 day long weekend in ZL and we made use of the extra day to do some sightseeing
on the West Coast of the
South Island. We haven't been there for 25 years.
Did you know that we have glaciers in our sub-tropical rain forests in New Zealand?
Yes! It's true!
That's where we were....had a lovely time!
See you later 73s Duncan

Was Bonus-Station last year too, thought it would be kind of fun, but it
turned out I had to impose the extra points on the guys. Actually I had more
fun this year despite
the local qrm from some new guys on the bands in our area.

Re: Gloating

Bernie <kf4fhs@...>

Well I guess it's my turn.

This was my first TDW, and I had a ball..
I was on the air 52 of the 72 hours, several of which were spent sending CQ
into the black hole of 10 meters. I added several callsigns to my LONP list,
but don't know if I got enough to finish it up or not.
I gave out enough information, to the ragchewers, about the 070 club to
make the membership at least triple :-)
and got several good DX entities and atleast 4 IOTA's.
I want to thank everyone who took the time to work me and to the ones who
spent an extra few minutes to say hi, I enjoyed every one of you.
I tried my best to work everyone that I saw, and to those I missed, I'm
truly sorry. If I had one more qso I would have given out 10,000 points.
Last but not least, I would like to thank the PODXS guys for putting this
great contest together.

73, Bernie / KF4FHS

Hey Ed,

 You ain't too far off, I'm transplanted from Tennessee :-)
I sure am glad I got to work you, cause it ain't too often, with me being way up here in WA, that I get to work somebody who don't have an accent.

"Ain't anybody gonna gloat?"
Are you sure you aren't transplanted from down here?
Excuse me....."Ain't you from round here?"

   The band conditions, at least down here in Alabama,were dismal.Never saw any 070 ers on 80M/10M/6M.
    I worked qrp,3-5W,with the FT 817 and portable MP-1,mostly out on the patio---good test for Field Day.Did make a few off-shore contacts with PY2MJ,OK1VSL,OK1AZK,and DL2AYL,which supprised me,considering my setup.
   Family activities precluded spending as much time as I would have liked on the TDW,but had a ball working the other members.
   Would you settle for bloated?

Well think I need to look at the operation here ast year got twice the qso's and spent not even half of the time on the air I did this year but I did have help being worth 100 points on each band did help here just wish I could have given away a few thousand more points whould have been nice to get the LONP for working the contest that was the goal, I don't even think I got the ones I needed to finish with what I already had.

Now that said I did have fun and enjoyed the QSO's and looking forward to next year. This year I almost even worked all the bonus stations, Well I never did see the signals from N6YIH/7. Thanks for all the points I recived I hope I am not on the bottom of the Bonus Station Group.

Hi Bernie;

Why not. The bands were lousy..BUT the QSO's were great and I worked
several new countries. Finally worked Erika!!

Tnx for the bonus points to all. Really needed them HI HI.

For all qso's with XM4XA the special prefix QSL card is waiting for you at
WWW.EQSL.CC
And remember you don't need to "belong" to it to pick up your card.

A fun weekend.
