Re: Special event HRD help

Hi John
Thank you.  That part worked but now I have some other problems maybe you can help me.  First, I set it up as you described, connected to my SE log and now I can't get back to my regular log.  Any ideas on that?  Second, after I set up my new location/call, my macros still use my original call even though I have them set up as <my call>.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Great write-up Bob!  Looks like the new location was a great place...and A/C too?  Does it get any better than that?  Many thanks to you and Stan for what has become one of the best parts of August for me.  Looking forward to next year.  Maybe Cycle 25 will perk up a bit by then.  GO APE!

Just worked John - N9AMI at 1458 UTC - about 14.071. 740.  He confirmed he is in DM19 in Nevada (as shown on PSK Reporter) - not at his QRZ location.  If you need DM19 - go get him!

KC9UR POTA Portable APE Tall Tale Report Posted

Bob KC9UR

Stan, W9SMR and I would like to thank everyone who worked us!  We had a great time and enjoyed every one of the 202 total QSOs.  In spite of the current poor propagation, a record 20 070 APE Hunters bagged us on three or more bands, and have nice certificates coming in the mail.  We also enjoyed QSOs with many POTA hunters, had a number of POTA Park-to-Park QSOs and several Park-to-Lighthouse QSOs (it was International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend).  As Stan likes to say, it's not the propagation, it's the participation - thanks so much for yours!  I've posted our "Tall Tales" report which includes pictures, log, and a listing of the certificate winners in the "APE Tall Tales" folder in the Files section.  Thanks again.

Bob, KC9UR

Thanks for the feedback.  Have looked at the MyAntennas EFHW 8010 model.  It's around 130 feet long.  Might work on a long and narrow piece of property.

Do like to run SSB now and then for QPs and such.

We're looking to move sometime in the next couple of years and will need to change to antennas that can fit in a much smaller footprint.   The XYL wants some type of waterfront property, so space will be tight.  Need to give her some ideas on what is needed.  Assuming I'll be able to get a VHF / UHF on the roof somewhere.

Hoping the group can give some good suggestions based on their experience.  Like to have 80 through 10 meters, but will settle for 40 through 10.  No ideas at this point on how many trees we'd have, orientation, etc.

Thanks for your help.

We are progressing in our efforts to "move" more items from the hamclubs.info site.

On our website, there is a new menu item, Member Files. We will be moving more and more information to this page as time permits.

As of today, you can download a CSV file of our membership by clicking the button on the page.  This has been tested on various browsers, and no problems have been noted.   I use Firefox, and when I click the button I get a dialog box that asks if I want to open or save the file.  I have used both options, and it gets saved to my hard drive.  I also have selected to open with Excel, open with Notepad, and those options also work fine.   It has been tested on a Mac also.

Please bear in mind, that the data is for your personal use, such as setting alarms on software etc.  Please do not share the membership data with others.

Let me know if there are any issues with obtaining the data.

Now on to the next issues, which pertain to the LONP Member info page.
