All,

I did get Art K7DWI, a total of 14 contacts here. Tom KD6TR was making a
serious effort late. 40 isn't great during the summer in Alaska. By the
time everyone disappeared, there were several hours left until sunset.

Thanks to all.

This was one of the more frustrating contests.  I started at 23:00 when I started finally seeing some waterfall action, but it was few and far between all evening.   40 was acting like 20 in that I would start a contact, and then it was gone, never to come back.
I started one contact with a ham in San Antonio with a very strong waterfall... midway through it was totally gone.  Not even a trace.
But it was still a fun time, even with the frustration.   Log is submitted, and we'll wait for the next contest!

Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th!

Happy and safe 4th.
Thank you everyone on the west side of North America.
I didn't get any further east than Colorado.
A little frustrating at times. I missed a few out there. 40M was not as good as last weekend.
I had to shut down early, because our new addition to our home (rescued Terrier-Mix 2-Year old Puppy) was freaking out from the Fireworks in the neighborhood.
I was happy with 8 QSO's and 6 SPC's on a not so good antenna.
Log just submitted.

We only live about 30 miles apart, but I got no rain yesterday and did very well in the contest.  Made more contacts than last year for I'm very pleased.

Tough decision, work the contest or watch the neighbors blow themselves up.
Managed to do both and had a lot of fun.
This year was definitely more intense than the last 20 years. One neighbor was
so close and firing off large mortars to the point where my ears were ringing
and shaking stuff on the walls. The dog had her face buried.

Not exactly fun. I realize there's a lot of pent up frustration, but this was
nuts.

Rain off and on here also all day.  rained a little this morning.

Not many contacts here, something in "make-it-work" antenna system was causing my internet to shut down, and of course the xyl over-ruled.   Saw many signals, but at times no one would talk to me.

Re: Can someone help?

Jon, K4KLB <k4klb@...>

N1MM (Free) is a quite popular software used by serious contestors and DOES have several 070 contest log setups integrated into it. There is good documentation on how to set it up. I personally use N1MM for contests and Log4OM (Free) for my day to day log. But I also have the two setup so that what I log in N1MM also forwards an ADIF message to Log4OM and is logged there as well. This config is well documented in Log4OM's manual. So for those looking for 070 log integration may want to read here:
https://n1mmwp.hamdocs.com/manual-supported/contests-setup/setup-udc-contests/
