APE Search - Looking for open bands

I'm going to 15m and CQ for a bit to see if the band has opened.  If yes, I'll post here.
Also, PSK Reporter is showing lots of MSK144 activity on 6m.  I know that doesn't mean it will support PSK, but I'll slip up there and call CQ with PSK31 after I test 15m

stupid question...so I just had a great qso on 40m with Bob. I asked him where to look on 30m for W9SMR. Given my zero experience on 30m, i have no idea what I'm doing there. So Bob suggested 10.140. I should have asked if it was a PSK but I think I felt like an idiot do I didn't...haha...

Am I in the right place?

We a re still on 40M and will move to 80M and 40M soon. Bob saw an Alert for 6M and is calling up there now.

We negotiated a late checkout (standard is 11:00 a.m. / we need to be out by 2 p.m.)

So we hope to be on from about 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

We know folks need some new bands, but those have been a big disappointment so far. We will try to spread the spectrum as much as will work.

Thank you all for your fabulous support. We APEs could not do it alone!

What's the schedule for tomorrow?

Made a run to Frisco with plans on getting home earlier. Then Hwy 380 was backed up for miles. Threw in the towel and decided to stop in Denton to eat. Getting ready for final 30+ miles soon. This day has been a complete fiasco!

Only have Dtan in log on 30m yesterday.

Good morning, Stan and Bob

Well, I was afraid that 80 wouldn't make the trip to Texas.   I've been monitoring since 11:30Z, and nothing on the waterfall.   Thought I saw a signal on 3582.19, but nothing to decode.

I'm gonna pack up, and head out to K-4371 (LBJ National Grasslands), and hope to work a park to park or 3 with you (and anyone else).  It will probably be 13:00Z before I get there.

Good luck today, and hope to see you on the waterfall.

John

WE are getting a good start.

Just worked Don, KC4OBB, on 80M. Not too strong but good copy and in the log for the APE Hunter Certificate.

Don is a great fan. Just check his QRZ page for proof.

Bob firing up on 40M
Stan on 80M

Will be moving up as soon as the cloud-electrons allow.

Conditions were tough today, but we have 143 Q's in the log. Too tired to continue tonite. Fourteen hours is enough, even for an APE!!

See you abut 7:30 on 80M/40M and hope to get some electrons to cooperate on 17/15/12/10 and 6 meters between then and 1 p.m. shutdown.

THANK YOU EVERYBODY for making the APE Chase so much fun.

Just got Bob on 30 meters!    So I've got 3 so far today.    I should have gone to my own POTA park today, but I'm going to do that tomorrow, and hopefully get a park to park with the guys (and parks for anyone else!)

This has been fun APE hunting today, in very trying conditions!
