How about anything else? What have I missed?

Steve,

I have two of them, one on my FT-950 at home and the other with a FT-891 I use for portable ops. Never have had any issues with them, they always works as needed. I see them for sale on QRZ from time to time. Good luck.

Milt,

I am in total agreement with you. Well said! And if one uses a well written logging program such as N3FJP’s AC Log, uploading to LoTW is extremely easy, and can even done automatically.

It's the last week of the year. I know of a plethora of big name Amateurs and contester's that accrue hundreds and even thousands of QSO's a year.
Many upload to LotW  just once a year.
Why do they wait? Because they're really not chasing any awards.
The system gets overloaded.
May I suggest that you upload your logs before the rush?

Mike has stated that I was his only PSK contact this year. Whether or not he gets back on PSK I won't give odds on that.  He hasn't been on PSK for many years, but prefers CW, SSTV and RTTY.  Sorry to be bearer of sad news.

This morning I finally work my old friend Mike , KA9DFI, on PSK31 (and RTTY) on 40m.  He hasn't been on for years due to computer and/or rig problems. He vey difficult to work because there is about 25 miles between us as well as the Marengo Ridge which is somewhat difficult for RF to get over at times. Plus he's  on a vertical and I'm horizontal.

Anyhow, had a great time working #0437 !  Thanks Mike !

BTW, Mike & I have been friends for over 30 years.  He got his Extra when I was still messing around as a Tech. Smart fellow who holds 2 Doctorates and is working on a 3rd...

Aaaaaaarrrrrgggggghhhh !     Dang Murphy !

This last couple weeks he got my brand new IC-7300 DOA out of box, my safe lost it combo with Xmas cash locked inside, and finally the remote coax switch went belly up.  Oh, and the little Chinese heater which keeps my (coldest in the house) room toasty also went belly up.

Beginning to get a strong dislike for Murphy !

Everything was working normal yesterday and then today all 3 antennas have SWR so high the autotuner on FT-1000MP shuts down .  Only weather change was a dusting of snow this morning and a temp. around 17 F.  Rotor turns sluggishly, but it does turn.  Went out and visually checked antennas, but didn't see anything. Hmmm ....   Hope it's just the cold weather.

Only one coax runs out to an Ameritron 5 position switch at base of tower and coax switch selects proper antennas.  Only thing I can remember happening was a few years ago one of the relay armatures became disconnected when a spring broke.  Usually get out there once a year to burnish relay contacts.

I'm perplexed ...
