Is this an uncommon grid?

Dave KM6CPF/VA3NIA

I'm (hopefully) going to be in the mountains next week for a little break. I always bring a radio with me, although I usually do only CW on such trips. Is CM98xl an uncommon grid? If so, I'll put the SignalLink and the laptop in the go-box, and operate a little PSK31 to help the grid chasers.

It is August.  I am operating portable.  I am on an expedition. But this is not my APE yet.  Hope you all will continue to talk to me as I work my way through Maine up to West Quoddy Head Lighthouse.  I've operated 2 days in August from 3 places and worked 5 stations so far.  I plan to get on the air daily in the afternoon or early evening after my travels for the day are done.  Hope to work every day up to the APE dates.  Then I have to boogey home after the 23rd when I get my 366.

I'm looking for APE's and 366er's.  Get on the air and I'll talk to you.

Re: HRD-DM780 Member and LONP Member Alarm Uploads

Paula,

this is is surly disappointing but if they can fix the crashing in SuperSweeper, it still would be a win.  I’m in the process of having a phone call and maybe a remote secession with a tech.  You, Rich and I have called there attention to the Alert problem in SS so maybe they will address it quickly.  We do know it works in Win 7, so hopefully it’s not something to difficult to overcome.
thanks for your input.

Well guys - HRD support does not have a fix for the alarms at this time. They entered the problem into their bug tracking system and closed my ticket. It is tracked as bug #

Most likely was DQ60ANT with faint opening to Europe..  Thanks Pat for clarification.

Once again my hopes of working Antarctica on PSK31 are dashed !   Emoji

Interesting waterfall this morning.   Saw a  " 0ANT" but couldn't copy prefix - Antarctica ? Earlier thought I saw a faint trace for a "VU2" calling CQ, but couldn't pull him out either.   Maybe just wishful thinking ???

Re: MixW 3.1 HELP ????

ON2AD Pat

Hi Jim,

Yes I know, there are a lot of HAM's that use MixW3.

Have you visit my webpage at:
http://users.telenet.be/ON2AD/
Click on MixW3 and you will find some usefull info about MixW3.

About MixW4:
I'm Beta tester of MixW4 and at the moment with the version that are on
https://rigexpert.com/products/software/mixw-4/downloads/  to download in the 32 or 64 bits version is workable.

I also wrote a English and Dutch manual from about 130 pages each of MixW4.
The biggest problem I think is the layout for many HAM's but I have saved some layout's for 1 and 2 screens and I can always send those layouts
or upload to the files here.

It's only a learn process I think, but at the moment they are rework the logbook of MixW4.

Hope you have time to visit my website.

Have you done an automatic backup like I wrote in a manual in the

Then if you have done, then replace the MixW2.ini with thos that are in the Backup folder.

If not the rename your MixW2.ini file in MixW2.ini-OLD
and restart MixW3, but now you must setup all the info's again that's all.

Hope this will solve your problem

Hi Pat !

Problem solved yesterday.  I clicked on the "IMD" at bottom of screen and it apparently put MixW into "AM" mode. That made BPSK31 inoperative. Now all is back to normal.

Thanks for your help !

Thanks all for the suggestions !!!  Help was appreciated.

Turns out I inadvertently clicked on the "IMD" box down at the bottom trying to get an IMD indication. Well I didn't notice that it put MixW  in the AM mode and THAT was the problem.

Still not a big fan of computers and software...
