I am struggling, I think all I need is vowels, and a bunch of them. Maybe a N but not sure have not looked in awhile.

When I did it , it took about 2200 (?) contacts and it sure looked insurmountable ... like standing at the base of Mt. Everest and looking up ! Just chip away at it... little by little.

Depending on when in the 1930s he purchased that land, there were probably very few indeed who had the financial capacity to bid on that land, let alone to afford the follow-on

Will have to try this.
It looks like the coax braid is the counterpoise and
really does need the unun or coax choke at the shack.

I am trying to picture this.
Is it coax from rig to balun.
Do you have a ground system for counterpoise.
I have lots of wire and can wind a 9:1 quick enuf.
May have time B4 the snow to try

I get good results 80/160 with an end fed antenna
9:1 Balun and 30m of wire. you can zig zag if you don't have enough straight line.
