Yep the analyzer shows the SteppIR is 1:1 on 40 The B'nut vert and the OCF are good with tuner on 40 and 80. The 135ft vert looks good with tuner on 160 Worked a few JAs es VKs this morning on 40M FT8 and one ZL on 80M so think things are ok. Charles, The admins of groups.io or porting over our list. It could be a few days, but it should end up being just like the main list. Though you can subscribe and get approval that way as well. Bryon / W7RIV On Mon, Dec 11, 2017 at 1:50 PM, Charles Odom <ki4vmk@...> wrote:

Matt I have a question
Geary McDowell <gearymcdowell@...>
Sorry for using a reply to get through, but nothing is working for me for some reason, even the direct link at the club web site. My message below even bounced back to me. Geary, KE5IRK Hay Matt, I tried to send a question to the group after the move and just now tried to go into the "group 070" and it told me I was not a subscriber. Can you tell me which of my now 18 email addresses y'all are using to send to me. I am guessing it is one of these: 1) ke5irk@... (which I thought we changed a year ago as it will not let me send from there, or 2) gearymcdowell@... which is my primary email I have been looking to get rid of as it is so long. I also have a couple of gmail accounts, the other option might be ke5irk@... I doubt I would have used any of the others for anything HAM. Thanks, 73, Geary McDowell #1787 |

Not that I wish it upon you, Barry, it just seems that you're having an unusually high share of the problem pie lately. You think maybe you've had some water ingress into some coax or something like that? Do you have an antenna analyzer that you can scan/sweep your antenna with to be sure all is well? Just a thought... best of luck with it, my friend! :-) 73 Matt King AK4MK - 070 #1708 PODXS 070 Club Executive Director On Sun, Dec 10, 2017 at 10:50 PM, Barry 1470 via Groups.Io <boat.anchor@...> wrote: RR Jeff |

I agree, that was fun. As far as changing this contest and/or the Three Day Weekend.... I think we're going to leave well enough alone. It was my idea alone to change it, and I've received enough feedback saying that we shouldn't that I now realize I'd be in the wrong for doing so. I was trying to balance the "more stations to work" vs "the harder challenge" and I think y'all are right, the challenge wins out. Merry Christmas to all! 73 Matt King AK4MK - 070 #1708 PODXS 070 Club Executive Director On Mon, Dec 11, 2017 at 8:31 AM, Rick - N7WE <n7we1980@...> wrote:

Double Header Soapbox
Well that was fun! Despite terrible prop and never being able to work Barry, I had a good time. Managed to get on all three days. Friday night was heavy thunderstorms here and QRN. And W1AW code practice requires the notch filter on 80m. Saturday I had some RTTY to contend with. And 160m was just real tough all three days. I need a better antenna. There was some discussion here during the contest about if you could work the same call in different days. Matt said it would be reviewed during the off season. My 2 cents - I believe we should leave it the way it is: credit for a call once per band over the three days. Yes, day 2 and day 3 get progressively harder to find "new ones," but for me that is the challenge. And it does level the field a bit for those who can only get on one or two days of the 3. One other note: I will be glad when the contest group is migrated to groups.io. I get postings much faster with here....Yahoo sometimes has long delays. It will make the contest group much more useful! But I had fun! Hope you did too! Merry Christmas to all and hope to work you in PSKFest.
