Interesting survey
Ran across survey conducted last year(2017) before & during FT-8 arrival. I puled the PSK31 part out separately because it was interesting to see PSK31 stats. Bear in mind that only about 688 responded to this survey so it's not a good sampling, but if 070 members responded to 2018 survey perhaps we could up the data on PSK31 and it might help. The PSK31 part is the one attached as "survey.png". Reading over the entire survey is fun, but as I said it's not a good cross section of the ham population. However, N8RMA has a great idea going here because he doesn't have an axe to grind. Anyhow, this is some ham-related to do while waiting on propagation.... Jerry N9AVY

Yeah, there's a few of those out there. I vaguely recall there being a few "four-fers" out in the midwest, but I can't swear to it. You definitely get your money's worth on those! 73 Matt King AK4MK - 070 #1708 PODXS 070 Club Executive Director

Do you do Mobile or Portable?
Do you operate PSK31 mobile or portable? It doesn't have to be complex or costly to go /M or /P. And it is tons of fun! It can be as close as a picnic table in a nearby park or as far away as an ocean cruise! Steve - W3HF is probably the Dean of our portable/mobile operators. And I know there are several year-after-year dedicated APE ops out there. Dick - KC3EF has recently done some trips with more planned. And if memory serves, Byron - W7RIV did a couple of ops last year. I'm sure there are many others.
If you do, how about posting a breif description of your portable/mobile setup here to encourage others to give it a try? Power source, rig, interface, antenna, etc. and anything else you want to add. Share your knowledge and help someone else experience the fun of PSK31 - /M or /P. Want to give it a try but have questions? Post here. There are lots of knowledgable members who will be very glad to help. GO MOBILE - GO PORTABLE! -- Rick - N7WE 070 - #1602
