He's out to get us all, Dieter. We may have to send him
to the Land down Under just to get that piece of coax pointing up.

Enough is enough, Bernie. I haven't done anything to
force your wrath down upon me and that coax has sucked all the signals out of
the atmosphere here in Colorado, also.
I may mention that to my XYL and if I do, you'll know what the
Wrath of an Irish woman can do.

PSK Survey Redux
Steve W3HF
Last week I sent out a survey to the 070 mailing list, asking for

your help in assessing how the 070 club is doing, what you like and dislike, your operating practices, etc. As of this date, about 27% of you have responded. To that 27% I say thanks. To the other 73% of you, I ask that you take a few minutes and submit a response. This survey is one of the ways the 070 "brain trust" (Jay*3 + Tom) decides what to do in the future, and is an easy way to make your preferences know to them. I am repeating the survey below. If you have already submitted a response, nothing else is needed--just delete this message. If you have not yet responded, I hope that you will. Steve

Hi gang, here's some info from Jeremy:
"It is getting THAT popular! Great! Gd to see that my ZD8 score made it there. I had to email the log via PacTor email! Just got back off the Ship from 105 days at sea. Will return to ship 4/23 in Lake Charles, LA then off to Canaveral, Ascension (ZD8JA will be QRV around 5/20 or so) and then off to Africa! I don't expect to work any African calls due to licensing problems, but will be /mm the whole way to and from. I should be QRV /MM from 4/26 to 6/15 or so. I will of course look for 070'ers on the band. Keep up the great work! 73 Jeremy N1ZZZ/ZD8JA Keep this in mind, a great "catch" to work him /mm 73 to all KA3X, Jay

Re: [PSK-TARA] RST or RS?
AA8QQJMauch@...
Ludek,
I was thinking something like this. For "R" (Readability): 5= 100% copy 4 = 75% copy 3 = 50% copy 2 = 25% copy 1 = can see trace but can't copy it For "S" (Signal strength): 5 = Very Strong sig 4 = Strong sig 3 = Medium sig 2 = Weak sig 1 = Very Weak sig For "Q" (Quality); 9 = Perfect signal 8 = 1 or 2 sideband pairs 7 = 3 to 5 sideband pairs 6 = 6 to 9 sideband pairs 5 = wiping out the PSK subband 4 = power supply hum on rails, with or without keying 3 = drift upward in freq. 2 = drift downward in freq. 1 = Totally distorted (your signal's so ugly you better buy a new rig) All problems seen on the air, all numbers used, but not gonna satisfy everyone. hi. 73 Jay - AA8QQ
