Hey Nando,

Run a virus scan on your system, the e-mail you just sent to the
group had
the badtrans virus attached to it.

Bernie -

I don't think Nando sent the email intentionally. BadTrans sends
the emails itself, using the address book.

But the email WAS infected. So Nando needs to catch that virus
soon.

Jay (aa8qq);

Look for me on 6 meters on Sat/Also Sunday late afternoon
I will be operating with special prefix XM4XA callsign (Regular call is
VE4XA) Member number 191.
Will be operating sporadically on 10, 15, 20 (30?) and 6

Need to read up on the rules and scoring etc as this is my first attempt at
TDW!

Bob

Re: multi stations in the TDW

Correct as usual, King Friday :o)
Cute reference, Jay. But if you start asking for an ugga-mugga, I'm
going to run away, real fast!!!

Anyone out there running more than one soundcard in the
computer I wonder?
I think I've heard of some folks doing that, but I think it's tricky
getting multiple instantiations of the same program to look for
different sound cards and serial ports.

I would think it would be easier to set up a few laptops, and keep it
all separate. Only problem would be counting the multipliers in the
TDW across all the computers.

N6YIH/7 asked abt multi stations in the TDW. I thought he was
talking
about multi-op stations, but what he was asking about was having more
than one rig on the air. The answer is yes, if you want to run more
than one rig in the TDW, then by all means go for it, but single-op
only...73 de Jay N3DQU.
FWIW, that category is called Single/Multi, for Single Operator,
Multiple Transmitter. Especially with PSK, and the "canned"
contest QSOs, one could envision multiple transmitter/computer
combinations, all run by a single operator.

As for true Multi/Multi PSK competition, stay tuned. Ernie and I are
working on some ideas for the Fall Rumble ....

Can we use the refelector to post contacts and spot the other folks on the band for the contest? is that fair?

I don't see anything in the rules about multi stations on the air ??

Yeah, I gess using the reflector is ok but I plan to be on the air, not on the web hi! Single-op only in the TDW...73 de Jay N3DQU.

Ignore my last. Was part of an IM that got misrouted.

I'm going to try to be on the air Fri, Sat, and Sun. for the TDW. Friday
evening is questionable as I might have to work. Will be available on ALL
bands (save WARC's) 160 thru 6. Anyone wants to try 6, let me know. Hope to
print everyone for the TDW.
73 See you there.

Remember you can count the bonus points for each band and just for the event I now have a GAP Titan DX up so I can work all bands and plan to be on the normal HF bands sorry no 6 meters here that is comming someday.

SteveD
N6YIH/7
I am ALSO A BONUS STATION so there are two of us on the left coast to help out. Good Luck Hope to see a lot of you durring the three days.

Three-Day Weekend (TDW)

Bernie <kf4fhs@...>

Hi Everyone,

Has everybody got spring fever ? There hasn't been much happening on the
reflector lately.

The TDW is coming up next weekend and I wanted to let everyone know that
I'll be on 80 thru 10 meters, all three days, as one of the four bonus
stations, so if you see KF4FHS be sure to holler at me for a quick and easy
100 points.

Good Luck & 73,
Bernie / KF4FHS
Yelm, WA.

Three-Day Weekend (TDW)

N3DQU@...

Just a reminder that the TDW takes place next week and starts 0000Z May
31, 2002 (see the 070 Club website for all the rules). Because the maximum
multiplier in this event is based on the total number of 070 Club members,
THE CUTOFF DATE FOR NEW MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS WILL BE MAY 27. APPLICATIONS
RECEIVED AFTER MAY 27 WILL NOT BE ACTED ON UNTIL AFTER THE TDW IS FINISHED.
So you have any PSK friends who have been contemplating joining the 070 Club,
tell them to get their applications in quick so they can play with us...73 de
