Tracking problem with MixW

Jerry N9AVY

Noticed on 20m that when I call a station he usually answers a Hertz or 2 lower on band. Remembered I had same problem a few years ago. Had to go into configuration settings : Sound Drive Settings and change sample rate from 11025 to 12000. That was the fix. So if anyone using MixW is having same problem that's what you need to do.

Am I right that only Barry VA7GEM is the only person to work all the grids in California? That’s pretty hard to do, but he always has a big sig here.

It is only due to Rick N7WE going to Klamath, CA that helped me close it off.

We saw something like that here in Topanga in 1980.  It was like solid water falling out of the sky.  All the roads in and out of the canyon were washed out.  Scoured right down to the bedrock.

At one point I glanced at the display and it was showing rain rate @ 32mm/Hr

Lobstah off the boat in Maine is awful tasty ! Used to run down the road to a place in Dover Point NH (on Great Bay) where restaurant had it's own fishing fleet - lobstah and scallops were awful tasty ! Spent a bunch of 2 - week vacations there and loved Maine.

When/if you go there check propagation before you drive to FN65 because it would be pointless unless conditions are good.

Have fun !

Roger the Lobster Fresh Off the Boat!  Back in my racing days we did a race close to Halifax, NS.  After the race the local CASC chapter put on a feed for drivers and crews.  It consisted of a fresh boiled lobster (that flopped over the edge of your tray) and a quart of Moosehead beer.  Seconds were free too, but I couldn't do it.  That was about 1972 and is still one of the best feeds I ever had!

Sure hope you make it up there and can find time to light up some grids...but only after you've had your fill of lobster!

And add my the Mother's Day wishes to all!
