Re: mixw 2.00 - FIX

Laurie, VK3AMA <groups02@...>

Hello Ivor & other interested parties.

The good news, Icons still work.

MixW 2.20 installs all changeable files (icons, configuration .ini, icons.cfg and others) in a directory separate from the MixW programs directory. Earlier versions of MixW stored all those files in the same directory as the program file, MixW2.exe

When installing ver 2.20 you specified 2 paths, the program path (typically C:\Program Files\MixW) and the user data folder path (typically C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_NAME\Application Data\MixW)

The correct place to store the icons.cfg file and the icons folder (with icons) is in the second directory C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_NAME\Application Data\MixW

Tested here and working as expected.

Icons at www.HamClubs.info are currently offline untill updated install documentation is prepared.

Re: help with the new mixw 2

Milton Garb <w6qe@...>

Ivor,
I downloaded and installed 2.20. What a fiasco it was too!
I'm not using Windows 7 and the agreement is that Win XP, SP3 is what's causing the glitch.
I went back to 2.19. The deciding factor? I couldn't get the 070 member icons to work either.
I tried importing my 'icon' folder and icons, I tried a total new install of the VK3AMA icons and icon file, but no joy.
Please keep us posted as to how you get that working if successful?
Milt.

Ivor,

I hope that you had EVERYTHING backed up prior to running the MixW 2.2 install. According to the comments on the MixW Yahoo group threads, yours is not an uncommon experience.

I'd check in over there to see if anyone comes up with some ideas.

Guys/Gals,

Keeping it brief, the contest is on the 10th (local time) despite the recent announcement to the contrary. I'm not sure where the announcement originated - I suspect it was an automated message. Please refer to my earlier message or (preferably) the club web site for official information on the contest.

If you have specific questions, you can e-mail me directly. For general questions, you can reach me at k9vic@arrl.net. Contest log submissions should go to the address on the web site.

Re: LONP Checker on WINE

Jeff Steinkamp

Chris

That probably is not going to happen with Wine. I believe LONP is built using the .NET framework.. I'm pretty sure that WINE has not yet been able to support that natively. You could try to install the Framework under WINE, but I would not be confident that it will work.

Subject: [070] LONP Checker on WINE

Hi All
Is there anyone who is running a LINUX Box been able to get the LONP
Checker to work in WINE?
If you have please let me know what you did to make it work; i.e. what
files did you add etc.
I am running Debian Lenny 5.05 and WINE 1.1.42
I have been able to install: ACLog; GenLog; TrustedQSL in WINE
If I can reciprocate in any way; I'll be glad to give a helping hand on
installing other Programs; weather it's in WINE or LINUX

Thanks in advance
