Seriously, it's been raining here for about 3 days and with marginal conditions it has been slim pickings here in IL. Keeps looking like some European openings, but they quickly fade after a few contacts. Haven't seen anything into Asian and only a few South Americans. Might be a good time to take up another hobby ? Did make about a dozen Q's yesterday, but nothing out of ordinary except for WD8ASA on 10m and I had all 4 elements aimed Southwest , but he quickly faded. There may be some sporadic E openings on 10m this summer, but the contacts should be kept short to allow for conditions. In past years I have been able to work "backscatter" by aiming beam to either S-SE for East Coast or S-SW for West coast... it sometimes is surprising when you aim directly at beam heading for station, but can't hear a thing and then point SE/SW and they pop out of noise. Think I have also worked Aurora (no, not the town !) by pointing due North. Signals are weird sounding like they're underwater, but workable.
