Thanks, Steve!
That's precisely what was worrying me -- I've lately replaced my venerable
wire with a Hustler 6btv for transmitting, and I could tell by the spotting
networks I was warming fewer

Hey Guys !
Maybe we should have sat this one out. Tried working W3HF today and I barely made it after several call. It's propagation !!! The propagation gods are not happy ... think

I've seen you call CQ 30 times here in the northeast this weekend. Of those 30, only 10 were error free where I copied your entire CQ correctly "CQ 070 TDW de WA6I WA6I bonus station CQ

Here in Illinois on 20/40m have been usable ... 80m was for a bit Friday night (Saturday morning UTC ). Nothing on 15/10m , although KZ3T & I tried 10m with zero results.
Just a stinky weekend

you were the only CA station I heard at the time. I would have thought CA would be booming in to

Bad condx on east coast. No EU or SA stations Sunday afternoon. Usually waterfall is busy. Only 2 or 3 traces on waterfall. Traces not clean, look fuzzy. I think everyone turned off their rigs

Conditions are pretty stinky this year, so that could be a big factor. And there seem to be fewer members on the air this year, but that could also be propagation conditions preventing many

Re: Is WA6I Deaf ?
Hi Wolf !
Nope, you're not deaf. We're at bottom on sunspot cycle and propagation is really crummy.
I've seen your signal many times during contest, but I've already worked you on those bands.

Re: 80m TDW
Usually close to there. +/- QRM which is often W1AW's code practice.
I think I'm often below 3580. In fact, my TS2000 right now says that I would be switching to 3579.15 USB.
