Jim-
You may have said earlier and I missed it, but what are you using for an antenna on 160? If it is a wire, how is it oriented? How much power are you using?

And I am curious about it also. The other evening I could see 4-5 stations, with great copy on KX4WB and some copy on the others. But the only one that I could QSO with was KX4WB, nobody

East, West, and in between on 160m
Can someone help me understand what is going on with 160m and the group? Seems like up and down the east coast we can make contacts. Jim - K5SP - just north of Dallas Texas isn't having much luck

Barry,
You are lucky that you didn't get pulled over for running liquor. A really low riding vehicle down here in the States usually means only one thing. Trunk must be full of Moonshine.

Time to call it a night.
Not a single trace caught all night.
Even band hopped on 80-60 for a bit with no contacts.
Have a good evening

0500 & 0600 QSOs for 24/7
The XYL is going to be out of town for a few days, which means that this old ham can play!
I’d like to try for 0500 and 0600 QSOs Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. If anyone is around, please

That's why we use outboard engines to mow the grass.
Now the tourists will stay away and I will have no-one to brag to about BC
or our fine neighbours in WA.

160 Meters tonight
Have been on 160 for almost an hour, calling CQ. Noise level is a little high here. Do not see/hear any other signals at this time.
Will try again between 0130-0230

Re: Hustler 6BTV
Dick,
Ah, visiting the Pacific NW in August. It's a great time to visit, as it's the least likely time for us to have significant rainfall.
Unless I plan an outdoor adventure, that is. A while
