Re: PODXS Net???
I think a PODXS net would be awesome and possibly Net Logger would be a good program to use as it keeps track of everything. If anyone is a OMISS member, you will probably be familiar with that

Re: PODXS Net???
There is a net on the low end of 20m. Heard it a couple times. From what I've heard, it sounds a bit like organized chaos. Heard people trying to hold frequency when some started calling CQ on

Anyone going to give 30 a shot tonight?
Is anyone else running a Propnet Bot?
It has a nice feature whereby you can leave it run and see any QSO's that happen while you are away.

Re: PODXS Net???
The 3905 Century club has a couple PSK31 net. Netlogger is used as a coordination tool and it has a built in chat program. They take checkins over PSK and take turns just like a regular net.

Re: PODXS Net???
That brings up an interesting question I’ve had for a while.. how do you run a net over PSK31? Is it workable?

PODXS Net???
So… we have something like 2000+ members in PODXS now… what do you all think about getting some kind of informal net started?
It would be nice to start getting all of you in my log.

No, no. If you want to work across the equater, you turn it upside down. If you want to work the opposite hemisphere, you turn it sideways.

The "trick" with vertical is to count them a few degrees from true vertical and that'll give you a different directional pattern.

I've worked the same VK6 in far western Australia, near Perth, twice using PSK31 on my vertical. Once he said it was long path based on his beam heading. I'll take his word for it as I'm not sure

When using a vertical how do you determine if your contact is long path or short path.

I was blown away when I reached Australia on long path. I was on 20m using a vertical on the roof with 1.5 watts.
