Re: Why not QSL?
I've found that getting confirming QSLs when you are working on awards can be very frustrating. This is my way of dealing with it. YMMV.

Re: Why not QSL?
It has not been uncommon for me to get 2013 QSLs in LoTW recently. In some cases, I think it’s people that are slow to figure things out. Setting up TQSL is not trivial; I have had to hand-hold

The issues that bother me the most is:
If you make a SKED with someone in the LotW room, it is assumed that by them also being there that they are looking for an LotW confirmation from a state or

Mike, I get a fair number of eQSLs that aren’t in my log also. Like you, I do not log incomplete QSOs, and I believe that is what most are.

For those using dxlabs, dxview has a built in feature to show last lotw upload, and eqsl AG membership.

Eqsl's that don't match your logs are usually an error of some sort such as wrong time/date, wrong/mistaken call, partial QSO, or as Eqsl once stated there are those out there who want to get

Re: Why not QSL?
Excellent post, I am waiting for one state that I worked, sent my eqsl (they do use it) but nothing sent back. It is so easy now to respond but why don't they? My Fldigi auto logs to N3FJP and Eqsl

Another suggestion for non QSLs
Got this one from a friend who is big DXer and a CPA (ret.) who has been tracking QSL percentages over the years.
"also go to the LOTW page and see if and when the station they worked last uploaded.

Re: Why not QSL?
Oops ! Error in calculating percentage ... not 58%, but more like 41 %.
Was absent the day we had math in school, hi !
Jerry N9AVY #454
P.S. -- Heard most people get around 33% QSLs.

Steve:
Like to share with you & others what I found after 40 years in ham radio.
LoTW is my main QSL program and out 0f 26840 Q's uploaded, only about 58% have QSLed. This includes SSB, CW, RTTY

I can't explain it either. I love receiving and giving QSL cards. Cards are the final courtesy of a contact. I was like you, avid SWLer during my teens, came back last 22 years as a ham. Big

The last topic of discussion delved into the area of QSL'ing a bit. I didn't want to continue that string but it does make me want to vent a little bit. Years ago as a novice in the 70's the only

Re: awards
Ah, at least you have them in the log. Have you tried sending them a polite email with the QSO details asking for a LOTW confirmation? Maybe they have your call slightly wrong in the log or something

I have plenty of IA calls in the log… problem is not one of them has confirmed in digital mode (PSK31) primarily. I have been waiting over a year for any one of the IA calls to send

John - here's the 25 most recent Iowa contacts in our database. As you can see, it's been quite active out that way so far this year, even. I personally have KR0ES and N0GES in my log and see them
