Re: C31VQ on 40m
Yeah, probably a tough one to get from BC. Sorry.
It wasn't easy from the east coast either. I don't know if he had European QRM or what, but it seemed to take quite a few calls for him to copy me.

Re: Miles per Watt
That's not funny!
Though if you want to count that way, my QSOs with Duncan ZL3JT using my Small Wonders Lab PSK20 (at 3 watts) and the attic dipole would run at over 482 MILLION cm/W.
Maybe it's not

I just want to thank Luck - WA4STO, Jim - K5TSK and Clark - WA5RZJ for meeting me on 40M to knock off three of my last three states for digital WAS. Only Iowa to go.

Re: Miles per Watt
Yeah, ask NASA how mixing measurement systems went! I prefer during QSO's outside of the US using kilometers.

Re: Miles per Watt
Please, let me advocate *not* mixing measurement systems.
Either stick to SI units (km/w) or if you want American Customary units, by all means go with mile/horsepower. Or perhaps
