Jay,
How about a WARC band endorsement. Something like 12 contacts on 12
meters. 17 on 17 and 30 on 30.

Gotta go no on the WARC bands Jay. I do not think it would be in the
better
interest of PSK or the 070Club. We do need something to spur activity
there
however. How about WAS WARC????? Wonder who can get there first :)

Capital idea, John! I too enjoy the WARC bands, but it's no place for a
contest, informal or not.

No WARC bands...This group is still growing for all the right reasons,  Let's
not risk being labeled as a bunch of LIDS.

AOL is back?

spdomingue@...

Well, received some mail from the reflector on AOL.
Sure is nice to see you all again.

I think the best part of the WARC band problem is everyone is talking and
sending e-mail. So there is some good of all of this.

Hope it is not to hot over there at N3DQU's QTH but think this has been good
and whether or not we use the WARC bands we did do good bring it up.

I like the idea of the endorsements for the WARC bands and will be looking
for DL2AYL on there. Maybe we could use the WARC bands for an informal 070 Net
just set a time to check there to see if anyone is there.

I was OK with using the WARC bands for our little contest but if we are going
to do something else to use them GREAT lets do something.

I will be looking for everyone on the TDW event and hope to be on as much as
I can.
Have a new antenna on the way here Hy-gain tri bander 10-15-20 ordered it
just for the contest (well I did need a real antenna) so I can finish my
quest to work all the 070 members.

See you all on PSK
Steve N6YIH/7

PS W3HF, Steve there goes our max totals we are up to 85 members so guess we
need to refigure the max scores. HI HI

Although I could (and did) argue that our use of the bands would
not be the all-out contesting that is to be avoided on the WARC
bands, I find the philosophical arguments ("how much contesting is
too much?") to be compelling.

So I vote no on the use of the WARC bands.

Of course, for me this is only hypothetical. :-)

Hey, K5SIT, I'm on the air, usually 20 meters, although I do work 15 and 10,
along with 40, almost every day. My hours vary, but I can be heard between 10
am and noon, 5 and 8 pm, and usually after 11 pm, all times EST. I'll be glad

Delaware PSK Operation:

AA8QQ@...

Hi all,

For those who haven't heard, I am hoping to drive into DE, park the car,
and setup PSK31 portable ops for a couple (or few) hours. If I go there, it
will most likely be the 19th or 20th of May. It would be nice to know in
advance how many people need DE for WAS PSK before I finalize my plans. Just
think, here's a twofer, work DE for "Lower 48" and work AA8QQ fer the "Hot
Dog" award. Hey Jay, that counts, doesn't it (AA8QQ/3 fer Hot Dog)?

Please drop me an email to AA8QQ@aol.com to let me know. I'm on AOL and I
don't get all of the reflector traffic.

Re: WARC Band Activity

AA8QQ@...

Jay,
I have to agree with they no's on this one. I think a certificate for the
WARC bands would be the way to go. A little more incentive than an
endorsement, even tho you need another frame for it. Or maybe that's the big
deal about the endorsements, the fact that you Don't need another frame and
wallspace for it.

AA8QQ - Jay

Re: 070 Club survey: TDW on the WARC bands

jjbaker <jjbaker@...>

I vote no, but the warc bands could use the activity. I never see any sigs
when I look at 17 meter band. We need to do something to boost activity and
it not be a contest.
