Re: Endorsements for January 2022

Steve,

The problem is the  Select box does not go away, it stays there.  If the Select box is checked again it will create another request.  The award shows up highlighted in orange and when finally approved it turns green.  If it is already green and the select box is chosen again the award goes back to orange.

Question for clarification. I upload my log and click the items that the checker says I am eligible to receive. Once those are approved, don't those items show up in the awarded column? How could anyone keep resubmitting for the same award?

366 CONGRATS--Need Dates – February - March

stan W9SMR

Following a very successful year of pursuit in 2021 with 8 of our members earning the challenging 366 Endorsement, we are off to a great start in 2022.

Joe, K3YES grabbed his single needed date in January leaving him with only 5 to go. Joe, WB9KVI grabbed his needed 4 dates in January, Harry, K9HW got his 4 dates and Bob, KF3AA got his 9 dates.

Ivor, M5PLY and Torbjorn, SA7BXU need only February 29, Leap Day to complete 366.  Bob, KK6KMU needs only 4 dates in February to complete the 366. But, unfortunately, one of those date is Leap Day.

Again, a special note of encouragement to Bob, K4VBM #2727 who joined us January 12, 2020 and has been valiantly picking up every needed day since June 26, including Leap Day. He now needs only 96 days, potentially completing on June 25. He also has a LONP total of 195. My money’s on Bob. He is on a mission!

e now needs only 96 of the 145 daysH

In the table below, I have shown February and March need dates for those members needing fewer than 60 days total. These are the folks really getting close. Be sure to look for them. (I know, February 29 is a long way off.)

I will publish this table periodically as the time approaches. Best of luck and good Propagation to boot! I base my report on your last know upload to the Endorsement Checker.  Please verify your own need dates as I may have missed some. Be sure to upload your entire PSK31 log each time!!

To see what dates you need, upload your full log and check the "Online Endorsement Checker". In the "In Progress" section, click on "Target" for the 360 category and a list of needed dates will show. If you have a problem seeing that, please just let me know.

A helpful hint from Alan, KA5VZG is to check each day around 2345Z and hang around until after 0000Z to see if you can pick up two days. Be sure to call CQ 365 to make your needs known.

The new 365 Chat that KB3RAN set up should be a big help in coordinating. For the 365 Chat, follow this link: 365 Chat

Thanks John for your work on this, I received mine the other day.  I also apologize as I am sure I am one who probably submitted for ND/SD double three times.  Then I read in an email how things were working.  HI HI  my PSk computer is down for now, and keeps looking like different reasons for it  But I hope to have run again so I can start working on the late-night hours on the 24/7 endorsement.

Re: Winter Field Day

Bob KC9UR

I'd like to thank everyone who worked me today.  I ended up with a total of 30 QSOs, 9 POTA and 21 Winter Field Day, and successfully activated both parks.  One POTA hunter commented that this was his first PSK31 POTA contact - maybe a future 070 member?  Even though it was a bit chilly (high today was just +19F), it was great fun.  Who has more fun than a ham?

WTW Winners and Chasers – 2021

stan W9SMR

Do you really know how difficult it is to earn the “Work The World “ (WTW) Award?

As testimony to the difficulty, only 41 of our 2,896 members have done it. No one made it in 2021. Last one to do it was (no surprise), Lee, N5SLY in 2020.

Simply put, it requires making QSO’s with 2,246 specific calls using the suffix letter, the first letter after the number in a call. I have included the specific requirement by letter below.

WTW started on July 1, 2012 and requires "spelling" out various Country Names, States, Provinces and Territories. Members work through 9 different awards levels: All South American Countries, Australian States, Oceania Countries, Canadian Provinces, North American Countries, European Countries, Asian Countries, All United States, and African Countries.

To check your own progress on WTW, open the Endorsement Checker and go to your latest upload. Click on “070-WTW” in the “Award Progress” bar. You may be surprised how far you have progressed.

Here are the folks making good progress on WTW:

Listed below are the 41 members who have completed this Work The World Award:

Here’s exactly what it takes to grab the WTW Award:

Go for it!!
