Robert, KE0STT
I'll echo the sentiments of the above posts. I really enjoyed the contest this year. I had a computer crash a few days before the contest but managed to get a new OS installed (MX Linux) as well as software just in time. Good times!

Jeremy,
You had a nice signal in Southern California. Hope to see you on the waterfall again. Bob KK6KMU

Rick,
If you decide to try FLDIGI do not hesitate to ask for assistance. We could try a Zoom meeting with some of the more experienced FLDIGI users. Bob KK6KMU

Jeremy N1ZZZ
It's been a long time since I've taken part in a contest, but it was fun. This was my first one from my PA QTH, and I was able to get 39 QSO's on 20 and a single one on 15. Not bad for an attic dipole and 20W.

Re: Need input on FLDIGI
Thanks everyone for the info and great suggestions. This is a great group and I really appreciate the help. I may need some more as I continue the switch! I am going to download the next HRD release when it comes since I've already paid for it and it is supposed to fix problems with Alerts. I'm kind of dubious though. So on to FLDIGI. Tnx again.

I had family in town and didn't get but a short time Friday evening late and Saturday morning. Had such a fun time, it was hard to walk away, but I had to!

Re: Need input on FLDIGI
KN4ZXG
I do not know the answer, if that's possible. I use linux and I've yet to find a way to pipe out what's going on in the signal browser to a terminal somewhere, if I have fldigi covered up or in another desktop. If I knew how to do that, I would probably write a really poorly written script showing CQs or callsigns or whatever. There has to be an easy way to pull that information, especially about callsigns, if you have PSKReporter enabled in the settings. If there's a way to do that, then there's a way to check against your log.
(Since some of you guys have mentioned some of the loggers you use, easy way to use a logger on a different machine? Even if it's just fllog. Not ready to spend money on a logging program yet.)

Just want to thank all the volunteers who make these contests possible. This is always my most enjoyable contest.
This year 80 meters was open for me. That doesn't happen very often, Thanks to all those on the east coast who stayed up late. Greatly appreciated. 15 meters also was a surprise. Made 10 contacts and John KC3FL answered on my first call. John was also one of a handful that I made contact with on 80, 40, 20 and 15 meters. Also surprised to contact N1ZZZ for the first time. Made several new LONP contacts. Looking forward to another great year. Best wishes to all Bob KK6KMU #2484

Re: 070 PSK Fest contest
Lee, Good job!
That happened to me back on day 1, trying to load and set up Digi Pan.
Just about the same scenario.
It just wouldn't work for nuttin'. CAT wouldn't work. Comm ports fist fighting
each other and on and on.
It was a Friday evening. I gave up totally. We went out to eat with some ham
friends on a regular Friday night get together, got home, booted everything,
and thru the magic of both positive & negative encouragement it worked!
Is this a great hobby, or what!

You see...I live in Texas and we have a saying here...if you don't like it right now, just wait until tomorrow. It will change.
So here is what I did to fix the problem. I turned off the computer. I went to bed. I got up this morning and turned on the computer and launched HRD. It worked perfectly all day.

George Weller
I exactly repeat this experience. Used Gateway and DXkeeper with
fldigi. Gateway failed, switched to AClog, which always works. I
have not used the alerts on fldigi, but I may soon.
