Jim
In response to your query

I am one of the people who use FLdigi/FLrig/ACLog

using LINUX ( Have to build most programs )

I have gotten ALL the Programs to work together very nicely

ALL the Program are easy to setup from scratch ( even in Windozes )

Just have to make a few chances in the setup process

to make them all be compatible

David does a great job in keeping the FLdigi/FLrig updated

I have been using these Programs since Day 1 when they 1st appeared

Scott also does a great job in keeping ACLog updated

By using the API integration you can setup ACLog and FLdigi

to talk to each other

You can download install setup everything

and be on the Air working in as little as 30 Mins

Rick,

Forgot to tell you my setup.
IC-7200 rig
FLRIG rig control
FLDIGI  digital mode decoder
ACLog  logging software

FLRIG is a software from the makers or FLDIGI.  I really think FLRIG is great.  It allows me hands free control of my rig.  Any feature not controlled by default can be programed by the user.

Re: Need input on FLDIGI

Rick

The short answer is not that I know of.  I have been using FLDIGI for four years.  The software is well maintained and constantly being updated.  It was not easy for me to configure but that is just me.  I was using FLDIG with DXKeeper a logging program.  There was a gateway that made this setup work flawlessly.  When I upgraded to Windows 10 the gateway didn't work for me.  I hear it did work for some.  The gateway was going to be rewritten but I couldn't wait so I bought ACLog.  ACLog integrates pretty well with FLDIGI.  It has a watchlist which can be configured to alert you with a pop up window.  I have mine setup to alert me for PODXS members.

I hope that helps.

not trying to discourage your decision to switch. Recent hrd newsletter said the next release will have important changes to the alarm system. Needs to happen.

Re: lonp goals

Mark,

Good job, keep at it.  Looking at your endorsements you only need one contact with South Dakota  and that will give you your DakotaDouble and your TripleDouble.  Two birds with one stone.

Mark,
Please don't forget to count your contacts with 070-2786 member numbers and above.
The LONP checker portion is broken, and won't see them.
Instructions on how to claim those is on the 070 website Home page and at

I wondered what happened to you as I didn't see you active on the waterfall as usual Hopefully HRD will sort itself out

As far as I did: I broke in my ICOM 7300 had to figure out
some bells and whistles and ACLog /fldigi with API control
worked better than expected

Looking forward to seeing you in the next Contest

Making contacts today was difficult, but I'm grateful to each and everyone that I was able to get into the log.  Don't think I have a chance to place high on the leader board for this contest.  Hopefully I'll do better in the next one.  The good news is that I did have fun...when the software worked like it is supposed to.
