PSKfest Contest – TOMORROW
stan W9SMR
The Ø7Ø Club PSKfest is tomorrow - 0000 UTC Saturday, 8 January 2022
This is a 1 day, 24 hour event – Friday evening and Saturday in US. Sprint Rules – work as many stations as possible in the allotted time using PSK31 mode.
Work each station once per band. (Same station, same band, is a dupe!)
Open to all licensed radio amateurs. Using 80M thru 10M (No WARC Bands) For Rules and details, Click Here PSKfest RULES 4 Power Categories: QRP < 5 W
The PSKFest Uploader link will be activated for the Contest. See Rules.
With propagation possibly improving and 5 bands to choose from, you can optimize your luck. It is helpful to post your intentions to QSY on the Reflector. Bob, KK6KMU, has set up a Triple Play Low Band Sprint CHAT GROUP on the Main Groups.io site. Subscribe to that for an active helping hand. Also, be sure to use PSKReporter and to Spot calls seen. Under current propagation conditions, we need all the help we can get.
Last year there were 105 logs submitted, up from the 2020 total of 90 logs. Last year’s Top Dawg and 1st in High Power was Steve, VA3TPS with 171 QSOs, 43 states and 8,203 points. We had a record 16 non-members competing and submitting logs. Several have since joined the 070. Be sure to tell any and all to join the fun, submit their logs and join us as soon as possible. Let’s see if we can find those open bands. 73, Stan W9SMR - 070 #1611 PODXS 070 - PR Director

Re: Thanks.... Santa?
The address was correct on the envelope inside , Jim, thank you.
It's just a small error by one of the postal workers inside the post office. We don't have a mail carrier here; we all have PO Boxes. Mistakes like these have happened before; but most of the time I find out in a matter of days, not months. I suppose the PO Box it was put it was rented by one of the many snowbirds who move in and back out of town every year. Thanks again, 73, Erik - K5WW

January Mailing
We are starting to work on the sticker mailing for January. Thanks to Jerry N9AVY, and John KC3FL for their great efforts in compiling the list, and approving the endorsements. John did a fantastic job on picking up the duties when Jerry had to turn it over due to illness. What I thought was going to create a delay in the mailing has been overcome. Now comes the task of printing the stickers, mailing labels, providing the necessary envelopes, postage, and other items necessary to accomplish the mailing. When everything is printed and RTG, packages will be sent to the mailing team (W3WMU and KK6KMU) for compilation and actual mailing. (W3WMU has moved). I am showing 417 stickers to be mailed to 127 members in this mailing. Jim K5SP -- Jim, K5SP #483 Executive Director/Member Services Director

Jerry. I am a relatively new member. I appreciate what you have done to make this group fun and something I look forward to. This and POTA are my main ham focus. Why? Two places you find happy and friendly people that make your day better. That has been epic during turbulent and decisive times. Fight the fight. Prayers coming your way. Malcolm Ke0jbt

My health has deteriorated over the past few months and I haven't been on the air since September 2021. Truth is I have cancer and am in chemo at present. Have good/bad days, but am hoping to get through this. Being on computer is a chore these days as well. The Director job got to be more than I could handle and what started out as a 5 minute per day job turned into something I could no longer handle. So, I'll be gone for some time, but hoping for the best. 73, Jerry N9AVY
