Wish I could join but no room for a 160M Antenna. Barely enough room for an 80 Dipole. JoAnn AB8YZ

Remember 1100 UTC is 4:00 am Pacific, 5:00 am Mountain, 6:00 am Central and 7:00 am East. Thanks for all your support

Still there around 1400 Z, but I couldn't raise him. Had a German club station calling CQ and doing lengthy macros right on top of him. Maybe later.

The Ø7Ø Club 160M GREAT PUMPKIN SPRINT is Tomorrow Saturday October 9 - 2000 UTC to Sunday October 10 - 1959 UTC Sprint Rules - your choice of any 6 hour block. For scoring, your six hour block will begin with the hour that you select on the scorer page and continue for the next 6 hours. Open to all licensed radio amateurs. Click here For Rules and details: http://www.podxs070.com/o7o-club-sponsored-contests/160m-great-pumpkin-sprint Frequencies / Mode: - 1.807 MHz Dial freq. (1.838 MHz Europe) / PSK31 only 4 Power Categories: QRP < 5 W Exchange: Callsign and State/Province/Country (SPC) eg: “W9SMR/9 IN” Call: “CQ 070 160M Sprint” All entry logs must be received within 1 week after the event ends. The upload link will be activated after the contest closes. Upload ADIF Contest records only.
This event will test your ingenuity and stealthy antenna talents in order to put up an antenna that will send your signals into the ether. It is not impossible. After all, a 160M dipole is only 272 feet long. Check your HOA rules for loop-holes. And it will be worth pursuing, in order to grab that Top Band Endorsement Sticker with 20 QSOS on 160M. Only 44 of our 2,870 members have earned this one. Last year, 24 logs were submitted. That’s more than double from the 11 in 2019. This is an excellent opportunity to test our Top Band!! Let’s see if we can beat that turnout. Stretch out that long-wire! 73, See you on 160 M Stan

Re: Various KL7 & KH6 stations
JoAnn Donaldson
A lot of the apps that we use have what is called a Country File. The people that keep this file up to date do a really great job. Whenever a KH6 or KL7 moves to the Lower 48 and keeps their call, the Country File is updated to show that they are now live in OH, OK, and etc. When a station like this pops up. I first look at my Lookup data which comes from QRZ.XML. If it show AK or HI, then I am confident that it is a real AK or HI. But in this case the call has an "/8" which would automatically tell you it is NOT in AK or HI. JoAnn AB8YZ

criteria do you use to determine the QTH of a KL7 or

Re: 24/7 Endorsement Sprint
Bob Motyl KK6KMU
Thanks for all the support. I'm pretty busy the next few days. Please bear with me. I still like to schedule the 24/7 endorsement to start on Sunday Oct 17 at 1100 UTC and go everyday for the rest of the week. I will come up with a simple schedule tomorrow. This way anyone else who wants to join in can. Milt didn't see your message until after the time. Don't have access to my station for the next few days. Will let you know.
Thanks again, Bob

I have 8 time slots to fill to complete my endorsement. I worked with a number of brave souls last fall and some of us actually finished our endorsement. I’m left with Sunday thru Friday at 1100 UTC and Monday at 1200 and 1300 UTC. 40 meters would be the best fit for me but I could also try 20 meters. I would be willing to also work other hours too. I would like to start on October 17, early Sunday and work each day for the rest of the week. We can work out a schedule depending on who is interested.
Last years participants, Stan W9SMR, Alan KA5VZG, John KC3FL, Lee N5SLY, Bob K4VBM, Randy W4RTT, Darin KO4EJD, Rich W7RTL, Milt N6MG, James AC0CW, and Dave KB3RAN. Alan and Bob were there everyday.
