Really appreciate the writeup Bob - thanks for taking the time to provide all the details and pics.  I have been interested in portable operation (ie POTA) and your info/pics helped a lot with fleshing out the wish-list.  Thanks again, Shawn KI5GX

Just a footnote to working the WTW...

When I was working on WTW the bands were open to Europe almost daily and I worked many DX stations who had PODXS numbers and were helpful on other endorsements. Exchanged EPC numbers, but never did anything with EPC.  Although I did earn the Worked All Italian ZIP Codes on PSK31 !

Rick is absolutely correct on making friends while working the 24/7.  There was a station in Kansas (who changed his call since ) who was there many early AM hours and we both helped each other attain the 24/7. Lots of sleepless hours in the wee hours and fuzzy days at work, but it was fun !

Working the WTW should be a lot of fun with Cycle 25 gaining momentum !

I second Stan's suggestion of WTW next.  To me it is the toughest of the Big Three - 366, 24/7, and WTW.

Yes, QSB was very bad on my end as well.   If time permits will look for you on Friday, but have a bunch of errands to run so time may be limited.  Haven't worked you with 070#.  We worked on 10m a few months back before you joined PODXS.

Enjoy you trip and anniversary !

Great job, Alan. You are showing great promise.

Now, the Work The World (WTW) looms on your horizon. You currently have 1,600 of the needed 2,246 calls to complete that one.

And although you need 224 "A" callsigns, you only need one more "R" call.

So get crackin' !!

Congrats and enjoy this marvelous hobby we call Ham Radio!!

my old friend K4VBM "GA Bob", who was also a decorated veteran from the night shift/early morning battles of the 24/7campaign.

One of my other 24/7 comrades, KK6KMU "CA Bob" has also been a big help with that great signal from southern California.

of course Stan, W9SMR, the club's PR Director, who reminds, advises, promotes , etc. etc. (actually, he goads you into these things without exactly telling you what's all involved, hi hi)

Lots of fun! Now, what to try next?. . . . . .&nbs
