Many of the newer members I worked  in St. Pat's test have already QSLed either via LoTW or Eqsl.  Some of the older members I had not worked also QSLed.  Adding new numbers was my main goal in the test. Think I worked about 16 members after 2787 in past couple months.

I just had a lot of fun in contest. Not worried about winning anything.

Randy,

I think your entries for WS0Y are breaking things.  It looks like the zero is
not a simple 0, but probably the goofy "slashed 0" character.  That's not valid
because it's not a digit, so things are barfing.  Can you check and see if you
can fix those in you file and upload again?

Re: St. Pat's Log

Jerry...
I'm not the high sheriff of the logs. Look at your score, and the list of Q's. You can copy/paste and print it to eyeball perouse it.
You have "filename.adif" . That's your file name. You can call it whatever you want.
When you download it from your logging software as an ".adi" file, that's when it's signed .adi.
If you didn't add the ".adif", then your logging software did it. There's your out..., but again, it just doesn't matter.

Congrats, David, VE7BGD, 070 #1881, of Delta, BC who grabbed the 3 dates needed in March to (unofficially) complete his 366 Award:

Of our 2,829 members, only 45 have OFFICIALLY achieved 366.

However, according to uploads made since the first of the year, 2021, the following have logged the necessary QSO’s to qualify for the 366 Award:

F8BFU, K4ARE, K5KHK, KC4OBB, KE0GHU, WB8YXF, WM4B, KG5OIB, VE7BGD

Needing only a single date for 366 are: M5PLY (Feb. 19), R6KEE (Dec. 15) and SA7BXU (Oct. 30)

Congrats to all on your persistence in pursuing and achieving this cherisher award.

I am sure there are many more who need March dates, also. Even if you have worked a fellow member before, please answer that CQ. Let’s make 366 happen for as many as you can.

To see what dates you need, upload your full log and check the "Online Endorsement Checker". In the "In Progress" section, click on "Target" for the 360 category and a list of needed dates will show. If you have a problem seeing that, please just let me know.

Stan

Re: KC9UR POTA Activation Today

Bob KC9UR

Hi Bob - Thanks for the contact Saturday!  I'm really glad to hear that you're interested in being an activator - it's lots of fun being the hunted!  You have a good plan in place, with all the equipment you need.  For rigs, I use either an Elecraft KX2 (sometimes with a HardRock50 amp) or an IC-7300.  For power, I use a Bioenno 20aH LiFePO4 battery - so far, I have never discharged it completely.  Your hamsticks should work fine, and will be quick to set up.  I use a variety of antennas, mostly resonant end feds.  My current favorite is a 40/20/10m homebrew resonant end fed mounted vertically on a 12m fiberglass mast, but it takes about 10 minutes or so to set up.  As a hunter, you're aware that it's important for activators to get themselves spotted on the pota.us website.  If you will be using CW, you can schedule your activation, and when you call CQ, the reverse beacon system will pick you up and automatically generate a spot for you on the pota.us site.   For SSB or PSK it's fine to spot yourself (provided you have cell coverage at the park).  If operating PSK, it's good to be in a shaded spot (inside your van would work great), because it's extremely difficult to read a laptop screen in direct sunlight.  I hope to work you on your first activation!
73,
Bob, KC9UR

Re: KC9UR POTA Activation Today

Bob,

I'm thinking  of trying POTA.  I already am a hunter and have about 60 unique parks.  I have read the activator and hunter guide but an interested in any first hand advice you might have.  What kind of setup do you have?
At first I plan to work from my van using my 20 and 40 meter ham sticks.  I have a 30 A/Hr battery and plan to get a 100 watt solar panel.  Rig is a IC-7200 and plan to use my Heil headset.  Thinking of using FLRID and FLDIGI on a small laptop. Also use the FLDIGI for my logging.  I'll deal with any Park to Park contact logging manually.  Most of my local parks are at the beaches.  If anything the view will be great.
Thank for your help.
