PODXS Club At The Beginning
Bob Motyl KK6KMU
I have always been interested as to how the club began. Could someone give a brief story as to who started it, why the name, how was the site created etc.
Sorry if this has already been answered. Thanks. -- Bob KK6KMU #2484

Sprint
I’m sorry but these RTTY jerks are as unprofessional as can be. They have to be
able to see the waterfall and know that a QSO is in progress or at least some signal is there. And it is not that they can’t hear me either because I later went back to him and he answered me!!! I guess they figure since they have the antennas and max power they get whatever frequency they want!!! Does anyone want to know how I really feel now?? It's one continuous 3-day event, with individual 6-hour blocks each day. You _can_ work someone on multiple days, but not on the same band; so the most you can work a call is 3 times over the three days: once on 40, once on 80 and once on 160. -- David, K9DWR #1604 LONP #255 david@...

Triple-Play uploader link is LIVE!
David, K9DWR
I have the upload link ready to go.
http://www.podxs070.com/triple-play-2020-uploader One thing to note; there is a dropdown selection for all three days and they are all required, but one of the selections is "No QSOs Logged". I have that in place so it's obvious you didn't work a given day, rather than just skipped picking a start time. It's also so you don't accidentally forget to select a start time for each day and miss getting credit. -- David, K9DWR #1604 LONP #255 david@graniteweb.com

Re: Triple Play Low Band Sprint Chat Room
That is true. I was on this morning and last person on there was Milt a day before I think. It is a pretty good chat room . In fact, I’m on there now.

Just getting around to reading mail............you might take a look at http://n8fq.org/sked/index.php?board=podxs. One nice feature is that you can see who is logged in to the room.

Re: 160m Help
not even close to dark here in Southern 6 land...
I'll start on the m.u.f. which is probably going to be 40m at 7070.0.
I'll check 7040 & 7035 from time to time. I have macro's set up for that.
Gud luck everybody...I'm going to the "group.io chat site" now.

Thought 160m was 1807 ... maybe I missed something. But it doesn't matter for me because 160m antenna is kaput. Jerry n9avy

Re: Triple Play Low Band Sprint Chat Room
Bob Motyl KK6KMU
Barry,
I can't say the chat room has any advantages. I just found it very easy to use when we were doing the 24/7 Endorsement. If nobody uses the chat, Oh well. Bob KK6KMU

Barry,
I'm not sure what the pros vs cons are, but if enuf of us sign on to it, that's where the contest chatting is going to be. I don't want to miss any of the spots or who's cq'n & where.
I signed on.

I think we just use the Contest Reflector at https://groups.io/g/070ClubContests or is there some advantage to a chat room. cheers Barry
