Stan and Co. I can not thank you enough for making a great experience. Using PSK is fun, operating on 160m is totally new, and working with others on a contest was simply a thrill.
I'm likely the worst contester in the world...I lack motovation, skills, experience, and determination. Yet I had a blast in the Pumkin Sprint, or as I dubbed it "more like a slow walk". So again, many thanks. -- Don Km4udx uBITX |

Congrats - October MONTHLY Endorsements !
stan W9SMR
In spite of the lousy propagation conditions recently, we are showing some good gains in member Endorsements. Having several contests has helped also. 24/7 - The big news in October was a unique strategy formed by Alan, KA5VZG, to enable several among us to either achieve of make great progress in the 24/7 Award. This requires making a QSO for every hour slot on every day of the week, 168 slots total. Alan proposed a strategy with 2 hour blocks, starting with 0400/0500 UTC each day of the week, over a 3 week period running thru 0800/0900 (and 1000 on request). With the enthusiastic support of Bob, KK6KMU, Bob, K4VBM and several others, 3 members qualified with all 168 slots: Alan, KA5VZG, Bob, K4VBN and David, KR4U. Getting within easy reach were Stan, W9SMR with 166, Don, KC4OBB with 164 and Bob, KK6KMU with 154 slots. Those were bleary eyed but very rewarding middle of the night hours. LONP - To qualify for LONP, 100 QSOs with fellow members are required. As you are aware, we are struggling with issues on the Endorsement web page that limits our timely approval of Endorsements. Be sure to upload your entire log each time. Jerry, N9AVY, has been fighting an uphill battle with our balky Endorsement Checker trying to validate and approve candidates for LONP. Here is a most recent list of those who have submitted logbooks containing 100 or more QSOs since January 1, 2020. Note that these are not yet officially approved: #2618 KD6TR 180 We also have an excited pack of LONP Seekers in hot pursuit of this traditional first rights award. If you see them, give them a call and spot them on PSKReporter and our reflector: #2741 WA4RXK 98
And in close pursuit of the next major Honor Roll level at 500 QSOs are: #138 W7PSK 496 And then there are the Super Achievers with more than 1,000 member QSOs: 1 #0025 W3HF 1650
Congratulations to all! Many more Endorsements were earned, far too many to list. But we applaud the continuing efforts of all to reach for the sky!! Thank you Alan, KA5VZG, for enabling great strides on 24/7!! Keep up the good work! Upcoming 070 Contest: It is not too early to start thinking about your participation in the next PODXS 070 Event, the Triple Play Low Band Sprint. This is another great opportunity to put some 160M Q’s in the log for the Top Band 20 Endorsement.

The Excel Spread sheet
Jim, I opened the document, added #2800, then saved it as .html.
There's lot's of different file extensions for Excel.
BUT, when I saved it, Excel advised that some features might not work.
There's Priests and there's Alter Boys....If anyone can solve the situation, it's Steve!

Re: Excel
I tried the save as and it messes up the formatting. It is not
yours Steve, it is the one Milt sent me to update the Member Info
page which is not being updated by David Westbrooks scripts. I will send it to you and see if you can export to html with the formatting that is currently on the Member Info page. As for yours, need the html showing the leaderboard and the top ten as is currently shown on the RC3 page.

I originally had Office365 through my college, where I taught.
Retired from that 5 years ago. Have been paying the annual

Well, my license expired recently, and I paid for the renewal,
and it said to download the most recent version, which I did.
That was a HUGE mistake. Now when I try to publish as html, it
only give me one publish option and that is to POWER BI, which I
do not want, and will not use. I cannot access POWER BI, because
the college license used my personal email address, and when I try
to create an account it will not let me because it wants a work

Is there any way that I can get rid of this POWER BI? Help

Re: Excel

Jim -
Do a "Save As" and select HTML.
Specifically,
File -> Save As -> [select the folder where the file is to go] -> [use the pulldown for "Save as Type" to select "Web Page (*.htm, *.html)"]
Those are the exact steps in my copy of Excel 2013 on this computer, but it's similar in every copy I've used.

Re: Excel
Jim-
Only work-around I knew of was to export the Excel file as an OpenDocumentSpreadsheet, then open the exported file in OpenOffice, from which you can Save As an HTML. Worked with Excel 2016, not sure if it does with the latest version. Hope this helps. -- Rick - N7WE 070 - #1602 |

Jim,
Slightly off topic. I use Libre Office. Its free. With only minor differences it is the MS Office. I have use it for ten years and you can save to many file formants. Just a thought. Bob KK6KMU |
