Re: ZL7DX and Hole 13
Recieved a note from Chris. He has decided to live on Chatham permenantly and has moved everything to the island. He is active on FT8/FT4 and wondered
what he needed to get on PSK. So I gave him the PODXS070 club website and told him what the award was about and then a list of PSK Software and mentioned there were others. Crossing Fingers. -- Scotty W7PSK Everett, Washington 070 #138

24/7 Endorsement - thanks and encouragement
GA - Bob - K4VBM
Hi All,
Many thanks to Bob KK6KMU and Alan KA5VZG for putting together the schedule and being there to enable those of us missing the many late night and early morning slots for the 24/7 endorsement to get them. I will admit that for some of those QSOs so far, my eyes were foggy and my brain was still asleep, but the fun and accomplishment was always there, and I was missing all of them before this. I know that I have filled many holes so far, and also had a number a QSOs with other members of the 070 club which is also helping me in my LONP quest. So nice to meet more of the club members. Thanks to everyone that has participated so far, especially all my QSO partners! I have a special announcement/request: I missed last week's Friday schedule for the 0600 and 0700 UTC hour slots. Because of that, I am going to make the effort to be on from 0630z to 0730z in an attempt to fill them and hand them out for others that may have missed those slots. I will be on both 40m and 80m during those times for each of those parts of the hour slot, looking for a club member. I will also be monitoring the 070 club 24/7 groups.io chat that can be accessed by this URL: https://070club.groups.io/g/main/chat/7056 (You do have to have a login to groups.io to access the chat, It really helps to be in the chat to let people know you are there and what band you are currently on.) Looking forward to seeing you during the rest of this undertaking, and thanks again to KK6KMU and KA5VZG! 73 and stay safe, Bob Hensey K4VBM (Very Bad Memory)

Also made contact with John from Hilo HI KH6DLK and Lew from Australia VK4KLA on 40 meters. Glad we had the chat room or I would have missed Lew. Thanks to Alan and Stan for pointing him out. This week is almost over so join us if you have a chance. I still have hours 11, 12, and 13 columns completely empty. I know Alan and Bob stayed up to fill those hours but I just couldn't stay awake. Thanks to all who participated. See you on the waterfall. Bob KK6KMU

Steve, if you want to try qrp to qrp, that would be fun. I'm back in town next week, love to try it.
text me at 571-225-6180 with a head's up if you want to try. I've had great success doing most all the digital modes with my qrp uBITX radio to other QRP's. Of course, a good antenna really helps us lower power wieners. -- Don, km4udx, uBITX, and other obscure acronyms go here...

Re: ZL7DX and Hole 13
We're going to find a different source for Hole 13.
ZL7 is Chatham Island.
There have been numerous dx-peditions there, and according to Club Log, it's #76 on the most wanted DXCC list. It may be rated higher or lower on other lists. I don't know.
From Apr. 2004 until Nov. 2016, I've logged 5 separate dx-peditions, and 12 confirmed Q's via LotW. to Chatham. Sadly, no bpsk31. I don't even know if any of the dx-peditions did any digital at all.
I need Hole 13 also. Any volunteers for a road trip? :-)
Milt.

Re: ZL7DX and Hole 13
Yep, I sure remember that one. I corresponded with him prior to the DXpedition and waited intently for the opening. I think that it was the 2nd or 3rd day that I got him. And yes, he pulled up stakes early. I can't remember the reason, but it may have been wx or logistical issues.
Hole 13 is a toughie due to the lack of PSK operators as well as prop. Tom K8TOM 815

Good Luck! And let us know if you get anything working. I too need only Hole 13 to complete Golf. I also need Antarctica and haven't heard anything about PSK31 from there in a long long time. -- Rick - N7WE 070 - #1602

Re: ZL7DX and Hole 13
Chatham Island was activated by ZL2DX in 2017 and was supposed to be there for until 2020. I only worked one PSK31 station there was ZL7LC (ZL1LC ,an 070 member) back in 2015. He was on a mini DXpedition PSK31 only. Others may have been there, but suspect they operated SSB/CW/RTTY or FT mode. Not aware of anyone else on ZL7. Jerry n9avy
