Solar Forecast

Haven't seen Tamitha doing any space weather in about two weeks so went looking for more places to catch some solar information.  Stumbled onto a website called SolarHam.  Check it out, looks like it has a link to just about anyplace that has info on solar activity.  Lots of sunspots in the past few weeks and SFI looks like it's starting to go up.  One can hope.  hi hi

Our last 24/7 Endorsement meet for week 2 is Sunday Oct 18, 2020 from 06:45 - 07:15 UTC.  I will be on at 06:30 UTC for those early birds.

Week 3 will start Monday Oct 19, 2020 from 08:45 - 09:15 UTC.  Be aware that New Zealand, Australia and Japan should be open on 40 and 80 meters at that time.
So far the regulars have been Alan KA5VZG, Bob K4VBM, Randy W4RTT and Stan W9SMR.  Milt N6MG, Dave KB3RAN, and N5SLY Lee have also shown up a few times.

Please come and join the fun.  I hope I got the information right.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: YET ANOTHER CORRECTION - to 24/7 Endorsement standing.- ADDENDUM!

Rick - N7WE

Well, maybe eventually I'll get it right.

6. Clicking on the "Have" "Total" "Target" number shows you ALL your remaining unfilled day/time slots. The list that displays can be copied and pasted into Word, Excel, or another program of your choosing.

Re: CORRECTION to 24/7 Endorsement standing.- ADDENDUM!

The Addendum to the First Method should read:

6. Clicking on the "Have" "Total" number shows you ALL your remaining unfilled day/time slots. The list that displays can be copied and pasted into Word, Excel, or another program of your choosing.

Apologies for the error.

Re: Finding your 24/7 Endorsement standing.- ADDENDUM!

Stan - W9SMR added a very neat trick to the First Method that greatly increases its utility.  Here's the Addendum:

6. Clicking on the "Have" number shows you ALL your remaining unfilled day/time slots. The list that displays can be copied and pasted into Word, Excel, or another program of your choosing.

Thanks Stan for this very useful improvement to the First Method!

I'm continuing to upload.  As far as I can tell, the upload functions fine.  It is down in the "guts" of moving stuff around and automatically linking stuff for administration that seems to be the problem.  I know Jerry - N9AVY is manually tracking new earned endorsements.  And Loren - WA3WZR is doing the same for IOTAs.  I may be wrong, and if so hopefully David or one of the other guys will jump in and correct me, but I see no reason to not upload.  And I think, but am not sure, that the hope is they may be able to salvage all the uploads out of the old Endorsement Checker and transfer them to the new checker when it is ready.  I don't claim to understand everything they are battling, but I sure know it is a massive, massive project!  We all owe them a big THANK YOU for just getting the Contest Scoring working.  Without their efforts 070 Club would have died around the end of 2019.

This is what the checker spit out this morning. Unfortunately this is the 2rd or 43th time in as many weeks. Duh ! The checker has dementia !

K4VBM has already been credited these endorsements. This is not the only one because there are a few others who who have gone into "reruns". This checker is undoubtedly on its last legs.
