Finding your 24/7 Endorsement standing.
Bob Motyl KK6KMU
FYI. You can find you 24/7 Endorsement status with the awards progress checker. Once you have achieved 72 out of 168 hours you show up on the award list. Find you callsign on the list and select it. A pdf file appears with a grid of hours needed and filled. If anyone knows and easier way please share.

Re: 24/7 Endorsement - WEEK TWO starts Monday 10/12 for hour slots 0600Z and 0700Z
I am sorry I am missing all the fun. I have been down for several weeks, caused by a case of
flu/slight pneumonia. It has taken all my strength away, and
recovery has been slow. It caused to miss the Pumpkin sprint, which I had been looking forward to operate with a new antenna. Have fun guys, Jim K5SP

Thanks for being there at O'Dark thirty for 2 contacts. I'll try to be there and get some of those other slots filled in. I was late this morning and missed my chance.
It's fun chasing endorsements. I made a spreadsheet of the hours I've already worked and can see which ones I need now easier. A simple 24 X7 grid works well.
I have one for my 366 also and see I have 6 months completed. One date (12th) needed in Nov and Dec 18, 27,28, and 29 to get me done until the end of the year. Lots of Jan dates which I usually miss due to travel. Might get them in 2021 due to travel restrictions.

IOTA invalid entry on QRZ.com
#iota
Loren McCullough - WA3WZR
Just a reminder that IOTA data in QRZ is not always correct, which is why we don't use it to verify the endorsement. Since I have been doing the IOTA endorsement for the club, I have seen some bad entries in QRZ, and that is because the person entering it has no idea what IOTA means and just picks what they think makes sense, and I get that. You see an entry for your state and you pick it.
Two of the best examples of an invalid entry are 2 callsigns I ran across from Florida (USA): I won't call them out here, but they list their IOTA as OC-158 (Florida Islands in the Pacific). I don't know which logging program picks up the IOTA data from QRZ, but if there is a way to turn that specific field off (doubt it), please do. Your friendly IOTA endorsement admin, Loren WA3WZR

Tonight, later...WEEK TWO starts Monday 10/12 for hour slots 0600Z and 0700Z
6KMU, 9SMR, 5VZG, 4VBM and all interested... It's my intent to be on 40m and/or 75m tonight as long as necessary.
I'll be clicking on traces to see if I can add some Q's to my LONP total.
I'll also have the "Chat" utility running. If y'all see openings on other bands, just tell me know.
Hey, if you need W6QP, 070-1454, for your LONP, let me know and I can work you with that call also.
I'm looking forward to seeing everybody there.

There have been three of us KK6KMU/Bob in CA, K4VBM/Bob in GA, and me KA5VZG/Alan in TN who have made it every slot so far. I have been starting on 3.580 between xx30-xx45. CA-Bob, KK5KMU has been covering 7.070 initially, and GA-Bob, K4VBM has been initially floating so both 40m and 80m should be covered, check the Chat because we all usually post our intentions. Usually one of us will spot the trace on the waterfall, if we can't decode, maybe the others can. If your getting no response post a note on the Chat and we will make an effort to get you. We can try other bands. I know K4VBM worked a few on 160m last week. CA-Bob can pick up a lot that the rest of us can't decode because he is so far west. Check in and make sure we find you. It only takes two to make a QSO and we will make sure the right two meet.
