Just saw you work JE1CPB on 20m. Nice catch. Very weak here and too spotty to copy.

Hello Lee!! I was sooo lucky to PSK with you last night.  Thank you so much for the fun history lesson, and the chance to meet and chat with you.

Very fun indeed.  Thanks again for the special station operation.

Welcome Jay!   By my count you are only the 6th member from the state of North Dakota.  That is going to make you very popular each and every time you are on air!  My log shows we have worked twice before, but will be looking for you to add to my LONP count.  Also in every 070 Contest as ND is a rare multiplier!  73, and again, Welcome!  Hope you enjoy 070 Club as much as I do.

Welcome indeed, Jay!

That process was too gruesome!

Hopefully with the efforts of K5SP and K9DWR the new member process has been vastly improved. I hope your experience with our fabulous group gets better every day!!

Looking forward to working you again, this time as a member. I need the LONP!

73,
Stan

Byron,

I live in Oceanside CA.  In my log I have KM6CPF , David, lives in El Granada, San Mateo county.  Memeber No. 2609

Also I have a few contacts in my log  that have participated in the clubs contests that are from ARRL section EB.  KB6LFM, Bill, AB6MB Jeff,  and AA6EH , Adam.  They are not members but they might be interested.  I don't see any from the SF section in my log.  I hope that gives you a starting point.

Been to the "SF" Bay area, got to be careful not to confuse anyone, a number of times.  In-laws live in Berkeley CA.

Good Luck,

Bob KK6KMU

2020 KC9UR POTA Portable APE Announcement

Bob KC9UR

It’s almost August and that means it’s time to go APE (i.e. August PSK Expedition).  Stan (W9SMR/9) and I (Bob, KC9UR) will be conducting our 8th annual APE, a “POTA Portable APE”, starting Friday, 21 Aug through Sunday, 23 Aug.  This year we will be operating from the Trine State Recreation Area in Northeast Indiana.  We look forward to contacting lots of PODXS 070 APE Hunters, grid chasers (grid EN71) and LONP seekers as well as POTA (Parks On The Air) hunters (park K-4182).  Each year Stan and I look forward to APE contacts with fellow 070 members, PSK31 enthusiasts and some DX too.  As in past years we will be operating on the 80m – 6m bands, and will be offering a nice QSL card for paper collectors as well as a really nice certificate for those who work us on 3 or more bands.  For those interested in portable operation, we highly encourage you to consider doing your own APE.  It’s lots of fun to make loads of PSK31 contacts and to be “the hunted ones”.   We will post additional information as the date approaches.
Bob, KC9UR

Jerry,

the only one that counts for Hole 13 is KC4AAA ... I guess there are several other Antarctic stations.  just rarely see them. I do have a few including R1ANT on PSK31.

I just dont have the "Correct" one HI

Went through my logs last night and found I've worked a pile of Antarctica stations , but on CW, RTTY and SSB. Not a bloomin one on PSK. There are several prefixes not just the KC4AAA-AAZ,; worked 4K1B (Russian base) and R1ANT. THe are prefixes like HL8, DT8, CE9, DP, , etc. So it may be possible to have worked Anartica without knowing.

Good afternoon,

Thanks to the generous help from several members of the 070 and linuxham groups, my problem seems to have been solved!

Paul W7PBF suggested additional ferrite. Based on his advice, this article was found on the DX Engineering website, specifically addressing the RF suseptibility of the Signalink USB:
https://static.dxengineering.com/global/images/instructions/Signalink-RF-Fix.pdf
I should have mentioned this from the start. I have my USB cable choked from here to Sunday as well, which fixed a lot of my early issues, too. It’s been like that for so long, I forgot it was there. ;-)

Glad things are looking better.
