Jim.
Sounds like someone with FedEx enjoyed a great rib dinner :)

When I lived near Ft.Worth back in pre-historic times, many times I had to visit family in Austin, I was ordered to bring a few pounds of pork ribs from Angelo's BBQ in Fort Worth.
Angelo's was the first restaurant I ate at (Job interview) in 1978 and one of the last places I ate at when I retired and moved to Arizona (2014).
One of the few things I miss from Texas (other Tex Mex)

Hi Bob and all the others,
QSO's are difficult here at my new QTH.  Thanks Bob for the exchange during Field Day.
and the few others that were out there too.
I had a few more PSK31 numbers than I expected.
I hope a few show up Friday evening/ Saturday morning for the Firecracker event.

Endorsement Congrats!

MONTHLY Endorsement Congrats!

This has been a great period of achievement towards LONP and other Endorsements. With 5 contests and Endorsement Daze #3, great progress has been made in 2020.

LONP - To qualify for LONP, 100 QSOs with fellow members are required. As you are aware, we are struggling with issues on the Endorsement web page that limits our timely approval of Endorsements.

The list below includes those members who have been approved since January 1, 2020:

LONP 070#              CALL               QSOs

428     #2592             KG5OIB           100

429     #2707             AC8NM          100

430     #2590             KE4PWE          150

431     #2662             KI7OIY            100

432     #1227             KB9UMT         100

433     #2653             W4BZM          100

434     #2267             WJ4HCP         100

And those who have submitted logbooks containing 100 or more QSOs since January 1, 2020, but are not yet approved:

TBD     #2618             KD6TR            180

TBD     #2722             N3XL               111

TBD     #2727             K4VBM           102

TBD     #0985             WB4JJJ           102

And those added to the Honor Roll with 500 member QSOs or more:

54        #0853             N3PPH            509

55        #0771             N9VEL             535

56        #1509             KA5VZG          552

57        #1605             K8FER             530

And then there are the Super Achievers with more than 1,000 member QSOs:

1          #0025             W3HF             1650

2          #0777             NO8R             1521

3          #0815             K8TOM           1258

4          #0454             N9AVY            1011

WTW – Work The World - One of our toughest Endorsements. It requires 2246 specific call sign suffix letters to spell out Country names around the world:

#2241             N5SLY             2246   (Got that last letter, “i” during TDW)

#0354             W7PAQ          2212  (Needs 13 “i” and  21 “n” to complete)

TRI-WARC - And how about those hardy souls, K4VBM and N5SLY grabbing TRI-WARC under these pitiful propagation conditions?
They did an excellent job of using the Endorsement Daze #3 event to do it.

Congratulations to all!

Many more Endorsements were earned, far too many to list. But we applaud the continuing efforts of all to reach for the sky!!

Keep up the good work!

Stan

THAT sounds like you are subscribed twice. We just identified a situation where a member was subscribed to the email without an underlying groups.io account. Perhaps you DO have a groups.io account under the new email address, and all that information is correct, but you also have an email-only subscription under the old address.

Jim: Is there any way to search for those cases where it's email only?

I ordered some BBQ ribs and stuff from Salt Lick, near Austin in Dec 2018. Never got it. Fedex status still shows it at their DFW terminal. Hope they enjoyed it. (It is awesome Q).

Salt Lick did overnight a replacement order, and threw in some extra ribs. Fedex has no explanation about why it made it to DFW, but not the final 60 miles to me!

Well Jerry, I have had several packages using UPS and they said should be here last week. Then they told me of a delay and now there is another delay and not sure what the problem is.  Who knows.  As long as I get it and I’m sure you are the same way, as long as you get it (finally) and , oh yes, it also needs to be in good shape!!

Hi Jerry,

I guess we don't understand modern shipping methods.  I sold a piece of equipment to a ham in Houston, TX and for some reason it went by way of Chicago.  Seemed like a long trip from FL to TX, hi hi.  Hope you get your radio back soon.

Radio was here in Chicago on Saturday - a distance of about 60 miles. Thn it went to Colorado and back to Rockford (IL) which is 25 miles from me.

It like going from Chicago to New England via Los Angeles ! Duh !

The Yaesu facility near you refuses to fix FT-1000MPs. They have limited parts supply and are really just board changers. Ugh ! They recommended the guy in Missouri.

Trials and tribulations of incompetent businesses ...

That works well for you. I was avid Yaesu user till a couple years ago when I needed a part
for one of my mobiles. At the time there was a repair facility in Toronto but they would not sell
just a part. I phoned the facility down the road from you and was told they would not talk to me
as there was a dealer in Canada. Net result was I am now an ICOM man. No shipping to worry
about as ICOM's Canada distribution and repair facility is just down the road.
Nice to see you on the air agn.
