Re: Files Button #poll

Okay, I got this from another member (Paula, K7PAX).  Lee, N5SLY discovered that this was his issue, requested to join the group, and when I got it approved he now sees all the left hand side button options.

"It may be a possibility that members have subscribed to the mailing list without actually joining the group. That would explain why they don’t have access to files. You can subscribe to a mailing list via email without actually joining groups.io or a specific group."

portable testing

Paul Butzi (W7PFB)

I’ve got my portable station loaded up into the car. My plan is to drive to a local park, set up, and operate for a while (Maybe an hour?) to try to shake the last bugs out so that I am good to go up to CN97 and try from there.

I’m hoping to be QRV by 2200Z on 20m. I will aim for 14070+1000 or so, plus or minus for QRM. Hopefully some folks will be able to look for my signal and connect.

Pics and a description of what I’m using will follow.

Re: Files Button #poll

That was the problem...I had never joined the group even though I was getting all of the emails.  I now have all the additional choices on the left side of the screen.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks Paula, I have spent hours researching and trying to get an answer as to why some people cannot see the added buttons on the left hand side, all our group settings are correct, so it has to be something on the user side, but had no idea what.

Lee just sent a request, let's see if that works.

Dave-
The trick is not to modify the membership list but to add a new definition in Alarm 2.  You can copy the CQ definition from the Default Alarm set to Alarm Set 2.  Once I figured it out, I wrote it up so I could remember how to do it.  I've attached that word document that gives the steps.  Hope this helps.
