Jerry,

At the time, Alaska techs had 2x2 calls (maybe still do), so everyone thought I had a General. Got the General in Hawaii, because there was no one close to give the test to me in Wrangell. a KH7CG call? That would be funny.

Glad you upgraded in Hawaii. You should have got a KH6 call to use in Alaska and drove people nuts ! :-)

Maybe, as far as the certificates go the default could be online with the mailed certificate as an option.

Anyway, I’m fine with vanity calls.

I’ve thought about getting a shorter call when I upgrade, but I am kinda attached to “Many Zebra Stripes”. That and the XYL is KG6MZR.

So I guess I make the DX strain a little harder and make it more challenging to get through the pileup :)

Alan,

My dream call would be W6SF.  How cool would it be to call out “Whisky Six Sierra Fox” in a pileup.  The DX would have to take it.  Too bad it is taken by a club in San Francisco.

Besides the KG6MZR would never forgive me
