Malawi :)

Every year about this time a station in Malawi shows up on my PSK Reporter - 7QP ;-)

How about it, are you guys seeing a lot of 7 calls today?

I’ve managed to work 4 new PODX 070 numbers today.

PS; I do have a QSL card from Malawi - one of my most treasured, It was an epic pileup.

I'm keeping a spread sheet of all endorsements to May 1, 2020 which have been applied for by members. Once we're up and running again it will all be added in so we won't lose anything in the changeover.

Please help me when you apply for Alaska & Hawaii by verifying them against the FCC Database. Had one the other day where a KL7 station was claimed by QRZ listed him as being in Idaho...FCC database showed previous holder of call as a silent key and the guy in Idaho grabbed call as a Vanity Call (this is why I'm not a fan of Vanity Calls).

While you have some spare time, upload your log to the Endorsement Checker and check your standings. You may be surprised at what you have accomplished.

Upload here:  Progress Checker<https://eur05.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fhamclubs.info%2F070-checker%2F&data=02%7C01%7C%7C86b1db1176b241741a7108d7ee3239c6%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637239771792255075&sdata=J34dXcfXp2TlvR8f5UshrYHiy07MDG5YTLk%2BEwb8zOk%3D&reserved=0>

366 - The chase for the 366 Award peaked on February 29. Per my rough count, 25 of our members grabbed Leap Day and are on their way to grab the Award for 366.

LONP - Progress for your LONP Award can be tough initially. Consider it a right-of-passage! The first hurdle is that 100 level. Only 431 of our members have accomplished that.

In the last 2 months, the following members working toward LONP 100 level have uploaded and we see good progress. Many of these uploads were from new members, just getting started. Or maybe long time members just now getting back into PSK-31.

WTW - Keep an eye open for your Work The World (WTW) Award. It is not an easy thing to get. Here’s a good example. After today’s upload of 29,311 QSOs, one of our very active members and frequent Top Dawgs is now at 2,245 letters of the 2,246 needed. Lee, N5SLY, needs just one “i” to spell “Africa” and to put this one away.

Closing in with a lot of enthusiasm is N9AVY, #454, Jerry with 987 QSO’s. There are 10 others who have 800 or more and are still clicking them off.

Hi All,

I’m totally OK with this idea. I was reluctant to vote in the poll because I didn’t want to deny others some part of the club they really enjoy. But I guess it’s not like you can be into PSK and not be computer literate. ;-)

Great idea for the endorsements. That sure would save a bunch and make it a lot easier on the volunteer for sure.

If there is a way, that would be nice.

I have downloaded some really nice looking certificates so I am all for doing it. I have been wondering for a long time how the club could afford to print and send them. Thanks for being forward thinking on this!
