I am so jealous:) I only was able to work them on 40 and 80, could not make it work on 30 or 20. I’ll try again next year.

Thinking new year I may drive to Indiana and park within a mile of Bob & Stan so I can work them on a bunch of bands,  hi  !!!

I received in the mail today the highly coveted KC9UR Pontoon Boat APE certificate. I already have it in its frame. Many thanks to Bob and Stan for another great APE expedition.

I will be purchasing the frame for next years certificate at the earliest opportunity.

Once again many thanks to Bob and Stan for another  "World Class APE Expedition"

Tom -
Jerry-

Same here.  I've seen nothing.  Been watching PSK Reporter and all they've shown on 20m for Hawaii is a couple of FT8 and about 3 or 4 CW stations.  Was going to cast and eye on 40 & 80 later tonight, but given the PSK "participation" think I'll watch the ball game instead.

Looks like flaky prop.  Been listening all day and stations are there one minute and gone the next.  Worked a Polish station through an entire QSO and that was about it for Europe.  Saw a few flickers towards Europe and turned beam west to catch whatever was out there.  Kansas QSO Party and couple stations were in a gone and a CQ.    Yucks, terrible prop !  If things don’t improve I may take up basketweaving, hi !

Rick,

I have the beam pointed to HI and have been monitoring on 20M from the left coast since morning here .  I have seen nothing yet as of now (21:47z 2:47PM local)

They should have been well into the event by now, so either prop or participation is not happening.

Re: Carrier on 14071x

Well, yesterday, in just the short time from 1600L to 1800L, I had solid PSK-31 contacts (and long, enjoyable QSOs) from my QTH in Florida with Germany and with a ham camping in the mountains of Montana.  On 20 meters with 40 watts and a simple dipole.  So the bands are not a empty as everyone is complaining about on this forum -- you just have to be persistent in  trying and lucky on propagation.

What little time I had yesterday monitoring there, was seeing/hearing that carrier and nothing else  :(
Hope to see some activity later today and a little tomorrow.

Hawaii QSO Party

Rick - N7WE

I note from WA7BNM's Contest Calendar that the Hawaii QSO Party is underway.  Click here for rules.  With Hawaii being one of the 2019 DX endorsement countries, this may be a prime opportunity.  Unfortunately, from here in central Florida, I haven't been able to work a KH call (that was actually in Hawaii) since May of 2017.  Maybe I'll get lucky and get one today!

I'm on now calling CQ on 10.140. I hear a couple of FT4 signals I guess.
