KZ3T - Completes 366!

stan W9SMR

On May 6th – Dan, KZ3T - completed his 366.  He is the 41st person to do so. Dan only needed May 6th and 7th to complete his 366. In spite of tough conditions, and with a little help from his 070 friends, he nailed it!  Congratulations Dan.

Dan was the 22nd member to complete the 24/7 endorsement way back in 2015.  Having completed both, he also has earned the Clock and Calendar Endorsement for working every day of the year, Leap Day, and every hour block of every day of the week.  He is only the 19th person to reach this phenomenal milestone!

Dan is 070 Member #1065 He is LONP #158 with 582 members worked.  Please join me in congratulating him in adding 366 and Clock and Calendar to his long list of fine accomplishments!

Dan is also a Cootie Key fanatic. Check out his QRZ.COM page.

stan W9SMR

As an acknowledgement of your participation in the ARRL Field Day on June 22 / 23, 2019, our PODXS 070 Club offers a
Field Day Participation Sticker.

Since our Awards Progress Checker has no means to check your log for Field Day participation, in order to receive your Endorsement Sticker it will be necessary for you to send an email directly to merobinstan@... ) by Sunday, June 30.  Please use 2019 Field Day in the subject line.  Send me the email even if you have already posted on the reflector that you participated!

The body of your email needs only your call.  Please DO NOT send or attach your log.  This is on the honor system.  If you say you participated, you participated! - even if you were in a support role (setup/tear-down, KP duty, etc. and never actual got on air.)  I will forward the complete list to those that take care of such things and your sticker will be included in our next mailing!

The only complaint I have, Bill, is all the completed QSOs I've lost over the years on my paper logs!  I'd probably have LONP many times over by this point. LOL! This is not 070's fault, of course. I've so thankful for electronic logs, now!

Thanks and 73!

RESULTS FROM THE THREE DAY WEEKEND 2019

stan W9SMR

Results are in from the Three Day Weekend Contest – 2019 !

This year there were 68 logs submitted - down a little from last year’s 80 logs. Given the propagation conditions, I think we did an admirable job in spite of the hardships.

Top Dawg and 1st in North America was Lee, N5SLY of Sherman, TX, who creamed the competition with 1,923 points, including points from 17 Bonus Stations, worked on 5 bands. I see a Certificate, a Rollo Tag and an ever extending lead in the 2019 RC3, The Rollo Cup Contest Championship Series for Lee. Congrats, Lee, on a stellar performance. We look forward to chasing you next year.

First place Bonus Station and second place score overall was Steve, VA3TPS, from Fenelon Falls, ON Canada.  He scored 1,280 points, including points from 11 Bonus Stations on 4 bands. This ends Steve’s dynasty after 4 years in a row that he has captured Top Dawg. This was, however his 4th year as top Bonus Station.  Congratulations Steve!

North America 2nd place was David, KR4U, of St. Petersburg, FL, with 1,257 points, including points from 11 Bonus stations on 6 bands. Third place was David, KB3RAN, of Lusby, MD, with 1,212 points, including points from 11 Bonus Stations on 3 bands.

Bonus Station 2nd place was Bob, KK6KMU, of Oceanside, CA, with 1,022 points, including points from 9 Bonus stations on 2 bands. Third place Bonus Station was Chris, N9JCA, of Evansville, IN, with 885 points, including points from 8 Bonus Stations on 4 bands.

First place in the Club Station category went to the only entry, K7EFA, the Yellowstone Radio Club of Billings, MT, with 311 points including points for 3 Bonus Stations on one band. Great effort for your first time; glad you enjoyed it.

With our new “All Amateurs Welcome” policy, it is encouraging to see that in addition to the 8 non-member stations who submitted logs, another 13 gave out more than 10 QSO’s each to contest participants. And so far, two of these folks have already joined our ranks. Be sure to thank and welcome Roger, N8TCP, of Parma Heights, OH (#2693, 25th place) and Chris, KC3VEP, of Papillion, NE (#2694, 43rd place). Thanks and welcome to our great club.

Thanks to all who submitted logs.  Stickers will be in the next mailing.  Complete results are available by clicking TDW Results

Now, get ready for our next 070 Contest, the 40M Firecracker Sprint starting at 2000 UTC Saturday, July 6th. Prepare by checking the rules at 40m Firecracker

ADIF Upload to Log Checker

George

Edited

I'm running HRD Log v6.5.0.207 and when I upload my ADIF it always has 0 QSO's.  I see others have the same version of HRD but no problems.
Any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks

Disregard, it is now working.  Same file it failed on earlier, now working.  Spooky

Three Day Weekend Logs Due

stan W9SMR

Logs for the Three Day Weekend Contest are due Sunday June 9.

If you haven’t uploaded yet, please do so.  If you have, you might want to check to make sure there are no problems with your upload. Errors can be corrected by fixing the problem in your log, creating a new ADIF or Cabrillo file and uploading it to the Scorer.  Once scoring closes, errors cannot be corrected.

And start thinking about your participation in the next PODXS 070 Contest:

40M Firecracker Sprint – Any 6 hour block

            2000UTC (4 p.m. EDST) Saturday July 8th

            2000UTC (4 p.m. EDST) Sunday July 9th

73, and good luck!
