Re: 15M, 20M, 40M not much luck here so far

Scotty W7PSK

Yes Tom it has been dismall.

My Appologies to the 070 club for not handing out the Bonus as much as I could, Ive been CQing like mad but the band just is not open up here. Both 20 and 40 have been the pits.  I wish I knew why we always have such crappy conditions up here when the rest of the USA has openings.   Happens on 6 Meters a lot too.

Right now on 20 Ive worked a couple UTAH stations and hear the others Ive worked. Get Smattering of California too but really nothing else.

I feel Ive failed as a bonus station.

That great, Chris.

We don't even have 20M open here in the Pacific NW at this point (15:46z).

It opened a couple of times yesterday briefly, but just enough to see traces with sporadic decode.  The only exception was around 23:58z.  I managed to get three QSOs completed in a couple minutes.  40M opened here for a brief window between 2:30z and 3:10z and I logged three more QSOs.  I have monitored 15m when there was chatter about it on the reflector, but haven't see a trace yet.

Enjoy your good (or at least, better) fortune with the prop there!  Maybe we'll see another opening today, I hope.

FLDIgi on Windows 10

John Hendry KG5OIB

I'm having to port over from my trusted Dell Windows 7 to a Lenovo Window 10 laptop, and I can't get fldigi to talk to my Icom 7300.   I've copied all my setting from windows 7, but I have no rig control whatsoever.

If you are working with fldigi on W10, and you have any ideas, I would appreciate hearing them.   You'd think an IT guy like me could figure this out, but I'm losing what little hair I have left!

Thanks

Fully understand the senior moment, me, I have senior hours!.   Don't think anyone has more chair/air time than you this weekend, everywhere I go I see you calling/working, with a very nice signal into North Texas.

I'll be quitting the TDW early this year, some time tonight, to get on a morning airplane to Guam. I hope to get some operating time at the KH2JU club station, but I'll have two serious impediments to operating:

- I'll be there for 6-1/2 days, with 6 full days of work scheduled, and
- The XYL is coming too, and she expects me to spend some time with her.

I'll try to post when I get on the air, but it's likely to be evening Guam time. Guam is UTC+10, so that means late morning in CONUS.

As always, this will count as a WITWIS contact, but it's likely to be my last trip to Guam, so I'll try to make the most of it.
