TVM to you and the honorable pilot that endures our idiosyncracies.
I really appreciate you acknowledging or almost QSO.
Enjoy the rest as I know a lot of eager folks await your next venture on the road.
Depending where on the coast you park there might be some demand for contacts.
These would have to be with a Starbucks in the very early AM so as not to be noticed.
Thanks for the effort you both make

KC3EF 10/05/18 Report

Richard Rohrer

The radio gods certainly were not very favorable to my efforts.  Several traces would be there then just disappear.  Did have a couple of QSOs that lasted until we both signed, but some just disappeared.  From DN10 worked AF5BG, N7WE, KB5FOG, N6PCD, WA2TWA, and K9HW From DN11 worked N4GBK, N2SG, N7WE, VA7GEM, KZ9V, and N9JME.  From DN01 only worked KE0JBT.  From DN02 worked N4GBK, N7WE, and AJ4VA.

Tried really hard to work W3HF and VA7GEM, but the propagation did not seem to favor them.  We are staying in Klamath Falls, OR for the next week.  If we are going to any interesting grids while here, I will post on this site.

Thanks to all how worked me on the trip out West.

We are in Klamath Falls for the week and then a week on the OR coast.  Then on to Seattle for a few days.  Then heading back to FL.

Re: KE3EF/M in DN01 - Now DN02

Just caught a bit of Dick's CQ - his call and that he is now in DN02.  Didn't answer my reply call and has now dropped off my waterfall.  Hope prop will open and I can work him while he is still in DN02.

KE3EF/M in DN01

Rick - N7WE

Managed to work Dick in DN01 about 1903 UTC very close to 14.072.000.  Rough copy on my end but enough for the Q.  He said I was better on his end this time, then sent that he lost me on our next exchange.  Said they were going to take a short break and would be back...haven't copied him yet.

Geary,

Thanks for trying, I appreciate it! I did have a nice QSO with Barry VA7GEM, however, so at least I know I'm getting out! Wanted to make sure the station is OK as I'll be running special event station N6F Sunday afternoon for a couple of hours. See www.hamfire.com for the details.

Looks like U R heading on 140 to Lakeview.
Too bad U don't have time to slip into Plush and dig some sunstones.
Almost anyplace along 140 in NV if you stop by the road have a quick look
for Apache Tears. They are small round balls of Obsidian and are prolific.
