Ok, tomorrow we are going thru EM03 in TX. We are currently in EM13 in Sherman, TX and will be heading West on US82 in the morning. So will probably be calling CQ probably around 10:00 am CDT or 11:00 am EDT. Will be up around 14.072 actual frequency plus or minus.

Great Steve, I don't know if I missed your other needs grids the first time I sent the list earlier this year.  Want to make sure I had everyone's needed grids.

Hi Barry,

There is no real process.  I post the list of grids I am going thru and ask group members to let me know what grids they need.  I put everyone's information into a spreadsheet so I can see which grids are the most needed and who needs them.  So if it is a really needed grid and we have time, more time may be spent in that grid trying to make contacts with members I know are looking for that grid.

I did not get much of a list from you and did not remember getting any requests when I sent the original e-mail earlier this year.  Just wanted to make sure you did not get left out if you needed one of the grids we are going thru on this trip.

Well sometimes you just have versions forced on you because all the support for the old ones go away and no one believes in backwards compatiblity at all...To accuse users of not doing the research and calling them lazy is an insult to many that unhappily worked throught the problems made by some egotistical primadona that thinks he's better than anyone else...Lost all my respect for you Jim...Thought you were better than that...

It is my belief, that all these complainers are people that have NOT
researched the new versions, just installed it, and let it do what it
wanted to do.  Then, when shown a new UI, become confused because it is
not what they are used to seeing.  Many are people that are adverse to
change, and want things to always stay the "way they were", immediately
say they hate the new version, go back to the older, less secure
version, because they don't want to invest the time to learn the new
system.  To me, all the versions have been intuitive, and once you get
used to the "new way of doing the same things you used to do", all is well.

Byron,

For mobile I use and IC7100 to a 20 mtr hamstick mounted on the left rear side of the mini-van.  I like the 7100 since it has a usb interface to the computer which eliminates the need for an interface.  Also, the control head fits on the front dash cup holder and the body fits under the seat.  I have a 40mtr hamstick, but have not had much luck with it.

Steve, Bill, and Barry,

I don't have any grids listed on my spreadsheet for you guys on my trip to OR/WA.  If you can't find the email on groups.io let me know and I will resend the list.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I've been to the VLA in NM and it was pretty amazing. I'm in Salt Lake City, Utah. Enjoy your trip and be safe. Can you briefly share your setup that you will be using while on the road?

Thanks,
